Dr. De Leon is a graduate of the renowned University of the Philippines and Philippine General Hospital specializing in the care, prevention and treatment of common eye diseases such as cataracts. His field of expertise particularly focuses on the management of sight threatening conditions involving the retina such as diabetes, hypertension and age related degeneration. Dr. Balingit underwent residency training in Ophthalmology at the Philippine General Hospital and went on to serve as Chief Resident of the Department. During this time he handled administrative and training responsibilities and focused on complicated and challenging cataract surgery cases. Dr. Rodriguez obtained her medical degree at the University of the Philippines College of Medicine and subsequently took her residency in Ophthalmology at the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital. During her senior year, she was appointed Assistant Chief Resident for Training. She also received a special recognition for Academic Excellence in Ophthalmology Residency. At the same institution, she pursued her interest in Corneal Transplantation through her External Disease and Cornea fellowship.
