Diane James from MTF visited Katherine Ross' Grade 1 class at The Calgary Jewish Academy in Calgary, Canada this spring to give a presentation on The Philippines and MTF programs. MTF and Diane received 37 thank you cards from the students in Katherine's class which were much appreciated.

The students were very interested in the Philippines and the students of their age in the areas where MTF works. As a result of the presentation, MTF and Katherine are initiating a pen pal program between her students and students in the Canatuan area.

When typhoon Ondoy hit Metro Manila, floods decimated many parts of the Manila and its satellite cities.he Napindan Elementary School in Taguig has been badly affected by typhoon Ondoy and extreme flooding.

The MTF purchased and assembled school supplies for the students in need at Napindan Elementary School. The MTF school supply relief package contained; a school bag, note books, writing pad, pen, pencil, eraser, sharpener, slippers, biscuits, and juice. On October 16, 200 school children, half of the population of grade one students, received these much needed school supplies
