The students from the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology bagged first position in the “Formula Student” engineering competition held in the United Kingdom.

The Formula Student is Europe’s most established educational engineering competition. Backed by industry and high-profile engineers, the competition aims at developing enterprising and innovative young engineers and encouraging more young people to take up a career in engineering.

The GIKI Team Infinity won Concept Class LTS (Lap Time Simulation) for the virtual software they created, by defeating students from 34 countries.

Ashir Junaid, the team leader for Formula GIK, told the media that their 24-member society developed the software within two months.

“We are proud of making Pakistan famous all over the world,” Junaid said.

(24 نیوز) عالمی مارکیٹ میں خام تیل کی قیمتوں میں سات فیصد سے زیادہ کی کمی ہوئی ہے۔خبررساں ایجنسی کے مطابق عالمی مارکیٹ میں امریکی خام تیل 7.08 ڈالر فی بیرل سستا ہوگیا، امریکی خام تیل 6.49 فیصد کمی سے 102.44ڈالر فی بیرل تک گرگیا جبکہ لندن برینٹ آئل 6.64 ڈالر فی بیرل سستا ہوگیا، لندن برینٹ آئل 5.82فیصد کمی سے 108 ڈالر فی بیرل تک گرگیا ۔ خبررساں ایجنسی کے مطابق دو ہفتے میں امریکی خام تیل 18.40ڈالر فی بیرل سستا ہوچکا ہے جبکہ لندن برینٹ آئل 14ڈالر فی بیرل سستا ہوچکا ہے، امریکی صدر بائیڈن کا مقصد امریکی ایندھن کی لاگت کو کم کرنا ہے ،توقع ہے کہ امریکی صدر جو بائیڈن آج کانگریس سے مطالبہ کریں گے کہ وہ پٹرول پر وفاقی ٹیکس کو عارضی طور پر معطل کر دیں، تاکہ ایندھن کی بڑھتی ہوئی قیمتوں کو کم کیا جا سکے۔خبر رساں ایجنسی کے مطابق خام تیل کی بڑھتی قیمتوں کا صارفین پر پڑنے والے دباو¿ کو کم کیا جا سکے،ایندھن کی قیمتوں میں کمی لانے کیلئے سات تیل کمپنیاں کل بائیڈن سے ملاقات کرنے والی ہیں۔رپورٹ کے مطابق روس پر تیل کی پابندیوں پر تیل کی سپلائی متاثر ہونے پر قیمتوں میں اضافہ ہوا ہے۔

میری پارٹی تیری پارٹی, میرا لیڈر تیرا لیڈر, یہ اچھا وہ اچھے, یہ برا وہ برے کہنے والے بے وقوف اس پے آواز کیوں نہیں اٹھا رہے کہ اب تیل عالمی منڈی میں کل 20 ڈالر فی بیرل کم ہو چکا ہے یعنی کچھ وقت پہلے تک خام تیل کی قیمت عالمی منڈی میں 122 ڈالر فی بیرل تھی جب موجودہ پاکستانی حکومت عوام کو ڈرا ڈرا کر مار رہی تھی کہ پیٹرول کو ہر صورت مہنگاہ کرنا ہے ورنہ سب مارے جائیں گے. اب خام تیل کی قیمت عالمی منڈی میں کم ہو کر 102 ڈالر فی بیرل ہو گئی ہے یعنی کل بیس ڈالر کم ہو گئی ہے, جو کہ جنوری والے ریٹ پے آ گئی ہے, اس وقت حکومت اور اپوزیشن اس پر خاموش ہیں (در وٹ کے بیٹھے ہوئے ہیں) تو اب اپنے لیے ان ظالموں کے سامنے آواز بلند کرو ورنہ یہ سارے ظالم تمہیں نگل جائیں گے, آنکھیں کھولو, خواب غفلت سے جاگو اور ہوش کے ناخن لو.

Those earning Rs600,000 to Rs1.2m per year (Rs50,000 to Rs100,000 per month) will pay a tax of 2.5pc

People earning Rs1.2m to Rs2.4m (Rs100,000 to Rs200,000 per month) will pay a 12.5pc tax

Individuals earning Rs2.4m to Rs3.6m a year (Rs200,000 to Rs300,000 per month) will be charged at Rs165,000 plus 20pc of the amount exceeding Rs2.4m

Those earning Rs3.6m to Rs6m a year (Rs300,000 to Rs500,000 per month) will be charged at Rs405,000 plus 25pc of the amount exceeding Rs3.6m

People with an annual income of Rs6m to Rs12m (Rs500,000 to 1,000,000 per month) will be charged at Rs1.005m plus 32.5pc of the amount exceeding Rs6m

In the last slab, individuals earning more than Rs12m (more than 1,000,000 per month) a year will be charged at Rs2.955m plus 35pc of the amount exceeding Rs12m

Superdari means the interim custody of seized property to a person entitled to its possession in lieu of furnishing a surety bond by the order of the Court for its production whenever necessary. An open transfer letter is not a valid document of title and it does not transfer ownership of a vehicle in terms of the Provincial Motor Vehicles Ordinance, 1965 and Superdari order should be passed in favour of a person entitled to its possession or from whom it was recovered unless there are strong reasons against it.

Reinvestigation, further investigation or transfer of investigation is permissible even after submission of challan or for that matter framing of charge and till the time the trial is concluded. However, this, at the same time, does not mean that change of investigation or further investigation can be ordered as par for the course. There are certain postulates that have to be met before an order for further investigation or reinvestigation or transfer thereof can be passed. Such an order may be passed if some new event or incident is discovered warranting reinvestigation or further investigation. Such an order can also be made if some new evidence is discovered. Such an order can also be passed if the previous investigations have been conducted unilaterally without associating the actual culprit involved and without trying to identify and ascertain the person responsible for committing the crime. Skardu and Gilgit saw massive flight operations, at par with major cities of Pakistan, when nearly 16 PIA flights operated to and from both the cities.

The airport saw hustle bustle with flights continuously arriving and departing at the same time. In a video released by official spokesperson of PIA depicted flights arriving while a flight departing in the background making northern areas skies busy.
