Testit 2023 was a blast! 🔎

This year, the theme was storytelling. Whether it be a success or failure, there's plenty to learn from every experience – especially when we dare to take a big leap and challenge ourselves.

Visitors got the chance to listen to keynote speakers Huib Schoots, who had a talk about how to leverage storytelling in your test reporting, Anssi Lehtelä, who shared his stories on some of the most memorable, horrific, and funny mistakes of his career, and Jenny Steen, who – using a movie theme – talked about her lessons learned after almost 30 years in the software testing industry.

The participants also got the opportunity to listen to Indranil Sinha, PhD, whose work was selected as a EuroSTAR 2022 Rising Star Award Finalist, and participate in Elin Perttu’s workshop on leadership development. As if that wasn’t enough, we were also joined by Sebastian Larsson, Viktor Nilsson, Marcus Bladh, Ulla-Karin Barrett, Martin Nilsson, Henrik Ahlgren, and Johanna Kettunen.

Meet this years trainees at our trainee program within cybersecurity and law! 🚀 ”Cyberhjälteprogrammet” started 2016. It aims to be the fastest way to a career within cybersecurity and law. This year we welcome 15 trainees with different educational background - system sciences, information technology, law, information security and more! In this program they will work together to better understand the different perspectives of making the digital world a safer place. 🌎💻

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming a full house to "Knowit talks: How do we work with product management in Norway?" where Product Coach Ida Aalen and Head of Product at Ruter As, Christoffer Bølum, shared their insights on product management in a Norwegian context. This is Anna Leyton Bjällö, who works as a project manager at Knowit in Helsingborg and Malmö. This summer, she is challenging herself by cycling to Paris with Team Rynkeby Helsingborg – while simultaneously raising money for children with critical illnesses.

The project is the largest contributor to Barncancerfonden in Sweden.

– In Sweden, the most common cause of death for children under 14 is cancer. 10 years ago, 75 % of the children diagnosed with cancer survived. Today, that figure is 85 %. But 85 % is not 100 %, so Team Rynkeby’s work continues. Team Rynkeby also arranges Skolloppet in May, where the raised money is donated to Hjärnfonden för barn and their research on children’s brains and related diagnoses, including mental illnesses, says Anna.

Knowit is a silver sponsor to Team Rynkeby this year.

– I’m grateful and proud of Knowit for sponsoring this project, says Anna. This is my first time cycling and it feels good to have my employer backing me up.

2026 people are cycling in 62 local teams from 9 different countries this summer. As if that wasn’t enough, 538 participants will also help with service for the teams along the way.

– Helsingborg’s team is the biggest team in Sweden, with 49 cyclists. We also have 10 people in our service team, says Anna.

The Helsingborg team will cycle about 1300-1400 kilometres. They leave Helsingborg on July 7th and will arrive in Paris on July 15th, where all the teams will meet up in a central park.
