This week in time is a great example

💡 2012 we were with Polanco and J Ramphis Castro-Planadeball doing the Founder Institute Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 ideation Bootcamp for aspiring tech startups.

🚗 2015 we went on a roadtrip with Carlos Cobián Live to to bring their H3conference meetups to West Coast entrepreneurs as we spoke about designing innovation into entrepreneurship. (Find out later that this was the very first entrepreneur event for the founder of the incredible AI Puerto Rico startup BrainHi - so, yeah- awesome!)

🧬 2017 we were at Yale University to lead a strategic and innovation workshop for one of our favorite organizations Ciencia Puerto Rico with amazing people like Mónica Feliú-Mójer, PhD Giovanna Gerrero-Medina and Daniel Colon who created new ways to strengthen STEM education and outcomes across Puerto Rico.

We feel pretty lucky to get invited to so many interesting things with amazing people. What a great Thursday it is 💥

👏 Congratulations 👏 to the Disruptive Leaders who successfully completed the two-day intensive Disruptive Leaders Camp last Thursday and Friday.

Our mission was clear: to empower leaders with the right mindset, skills, and frameworks to tackle innovation in today’s ever-changing environment.

How? By getting people to go for 𝗕𝗢𝗟𝗗 and experience the power of going from “how things are” to “how they might be”. 💥

Here’s a recap of the event:

📚 Day 1: We delved deep into the theory behind innovation, exploring topics such as the innovation dilemma, the clash of biology versus culture, the ambiguity paradox, the difference between infinite and finite players, among others. We also unpacked the essential frameworks and leadership practices needed for success.

💡 Day 2: The real magic happened 🪄as we put theory into action while solving a pressing challenge in Puerto Rico:

𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙢𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙬𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙪𝙢 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙞𝙨𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙮 𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙚𝙛𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙨? 🌎

Through a series of immersive “Think Wrong” hands-on drills like the "Big Yes Drill", "Deflection Point Drill", "Anchors and Rockets", among others, we left behind traditional approaches to solving problems and practiced new ways of thinking. 🧠⚡

A special thank you to our subject matter experts, Cristina Villalon, Carla Joan González Vizcarrondo, and Katerina Marchán Fernández from Álvarez‐Díaz & Villalón for their invaluable guidance and direction on the topic at hand. Your expertise added tremendous value to our discussions and inspired us to commit to sustainability efforts. 🌱 We are in awe of what AD&V is doing to support the UN Global Compact efforts and proud to see that a local company is leading the way in leveraging their business as a force for good in the world. 🌏
