OPEN CALL

Convidamos artistas para submeterem pinturas de composição livre até 20 de Junho.

As pinturas irão integrar um curta-metragem, em que uma das temáticas é a danificação de obras por ativistas como movimento de combate às alterações climáticas, sendo sujeitas a um "splash" de tinta.

Posteriormente às filmagens, as obras serão expostas na galeria Menu das Artes sob o tema "Vandalismo", em exposição aberta a convidados e colecionadores para comercialização.

Since the month of February 2022 the work of many Ukrainian artists has undergone a transformation and acquired a new purpose, which is perfectly understandable since artists are very empathetic and always respond sensitively to external circumstances. Each artist expresses this differently, giving it different visual forms.

On January 22th at 18:00 pm, the Art Investments Company, Menu das Artes-MDA will host the Art Exhibition "Ukraine - From Wheat to Storm" where Ukrainian artists will exhibit their works on the theme war and freedom. Some will present their works "before" and "after" the conflict, so that visitors can see and feel for themselves how the events of the last several months have affected their creativity. This exhibition has already taken place in Lisbon, it will now take place in Berlin, and will pass through Italy, Switzerland and Brazil. At the opening event in Berlin, traditional ukrainian songs will be performed live, and guests will be offered a welcome drink.

The Event is organized with the support of curators Newton Whitehurst de Castro and Paulo Ciola de Castro, in collaboration with "Art for Ukraine" - a solidarity initiative created by two Ukrainians residing in Portugal, Anastasiya Molchanova and Kateryna Savchenko Oliveira. Come visit us and bring your friends! Your support is very important.

I also draw prints, stylized portraits, cartoon-style art. I would be happy if my illustration graced the cover of a fashion magazine. I can work in photoshop, illustrator, indesign. Most of my digital work is done in procreate.

My work reflects the fashionable image that the designer has created. I depict them in my own style, reflecting my vision of the image. Most often I portray Gucci models, I like the style of the brand.

My art is mixed as me. I'm in love with different cultures, languages.
I also 'paint the music', I'm a big fan of it.
I have lived the war in my country and my heart is bleeding every second of my life. But I'm trying my best to save myself for my country.
I'm currently in Switzerland, and all my artworks are with me (I brought them just by my hands).

Hello. My name is Volodymyr Chertkov and I’m a wandering photographer originally from Mariupol, Ukraine.
My creative path started in the heart of Carpathian Mountains, Hutsul entity area, back in 2016, when I left my prestigious job as sommelier and moved to a wooden hut to look after 15 sheeps.
In 2018 I left Ukraine to work as illegal guide to volcanoes of Indonesia. My ex-boss left me on the streets of Java with no return ticket or salary and I spent 3 years wandering across Southeast Asia.
In 2020 I came back to Ukraine to finish my photobook called NENKA dedicated to Ukrainian architecture and publish HIGH - travel photobook about my asian adventures.
I left Ukraine again in February 2022 just before war started and moved to Istanbul to prepare for a great motorcycle journey around African continent. But the war changed everything.
I’ve lost my business and customers. My sister with two kids are refugees in Poland. My father (if he’s still alive) is in the epicenter of war in Mariupol. I cannot reach him since March 1.
This series I called SOUL. It’s a dedication to the place where my inner Creator was born.
Every piece of this art is printed on panoramic canvas 50x150cm. Dispatches from Turkey worldwide.
Each pice 500$.
30% of profit I will redirect to humanitarian aid organisations to help those who suffer.

I was expelled from my beloved Kyiv by the Russian army, which came to our peaceful land with its killing weapons.

Now I live in Berlin. The local people have given me a roof over my head and so now I am safe and able to paint my paintings.

Now in my work, there are mainly national shades of Ukraine. Now my paintings are more expressive and emotional. Apparently now I do not pay attention to the rules of fine art, because now it is important to express my emotions, my feelings.

But I want to note that I can not draw pain. On the contrary, I want to draw bright, juicy pictures so that they are pleasant to look at!
