"Many cases of infertility are primarily caused by poor lifestyle habits. In addition, a high number of abortions, unhealthy sexual activity, exposure to harmful chemicals, and even significant mental stress and pressure can potentially harm the body and affect fertility rates.

Pregnant women over the age of 35 are referred to as advanced maternal age. They are more likely to face problems during pregnancy compared to those at a younger age, with proper preparation starting before conception and enhanced prenatal care, the negative impact on pregnancy can be minimized.

Here are some recommendations to consider:

1. Undergo pre-pregnancy examinations to rule out hereditary diseases: If there is a history of genetic or chromosomal diseases such as Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, congenital defects, etc.

2. Eliminate unhealthy habits and actively maintain physical well-being: This includes quitting smoking, avoiding alcohol, coffee and increasing the consumption of fruits and vegetables. It's important to relax both physically and mentally, ensuring sufficient sleep and engaging in appropriate physical exercise daily.

3. Pay attention to diet: Reduce the intake of sugary foods because older expectant mothers are more prone to weight gain and gestational diabetes. It is recommended to consume high in protein and low in fat diet. Taking folic acid supplements a month before conception is advisable, it helps to prevent neural development disorders in the fetus.

4. Protect the uterus: The uterus ages with time and needs special care during pregnancy. This includes avoiding heavy lifting, avoiding excessive fatigue, refraining from strenuous exercise, and preventing any compression of the abdominal area.

5. Calculate the menstrual cycle: Calculating the ovulation period, including using ovulation test strips, can help women determine the optimal time for conception and detect irregular ovulation.

In addition to reducing sugary food intake, it's also advisable to consume foods that nurture the ovaries and uterus, such as Chinese motherwort, black chicken, eggs, brown sugar, black beans, and more.

Chinese medicine believes that menstrual blood is governed by the kidneys, so kidney and essence nourishment is necessary. Foods such as walnuts, black sesame, black rice, chestnuts, yam, mulberries, and wolfberries, all have the effect of nourishing the kidneys and essence.

Dietary therapy: Tomato, straw mushroom, and broccoli, which are rich in folic acid, can help supplement folic acid.

Ingredients (for one-two persons): 100g each of cherry tomatoes, straw mushrooms, and broccoli, garlic, oyster sauce, pepper, salt, and cooking oil as needed.

Instructions: Wash the cherry tomatoes, straw mushrooms, and broccoli, then cut them into small pieces. Place a pan on the stove, add oil, and sauté the garlic until fragrant. Add the other

ingredients and stir-fry until well-cooked. Finally, add the seasonings, stir well, and it's ready to serve.

Massage is mainly based on meridians. Proper and regular massages can help relax the body, relieve fatigue, and boost the immune system. When not pregnant, massages can be used to relieve body fatigue during pregnancy preparation, but it's important not to get cold or catch a cold during the massage.

Chinese medicine often combines internal and external methods for body constitution adjustment. Therefore, when taking Chinese medicine to regulate the body, you can also perform body massages. Massaging the acupoints according to the constitution of women, preparing for pregnancy helps clear the meridians, regulate the functions of the organs and blood, promotes the balance of yin and yang in the body.

Poor Blood Circulation
Firstly, for poor blood circulation is the blockage of blood due to blood stasis, preventing it from flowing freely.

Secondly, is the deficiency of both qi and blood, where insufficient qi cannot propel the blood circulation to the extremities, resulting in numbness. Those with deficient qi and blood often have a pale tongue coating, while those with stagnation may exhibit a dark tongue and other unfavorable symptoms.

Irregular diet: Unregulated eating, inconsistent meal times, and irregular eating patterns, as well as a preference for imbalanced or poor nutrition diets, such as a liking for heavily flavored foods like cold, spicy, sour, and sweet, can damage the spleen and stomach. This results will lead to qi and blood deficiency.

Insufficient sleep: Prolonged irregular lifestyle habits and inadequate rest with insufficient sleep prevent the body from having enough time to restore qi and blood, as well as allowing for insufficient time for blood generation. Lack of exercise: Insufficient physical activity can lead to blocked meridians, obstructing the pathways for qi and blood generation, resulting in inadequate qi and blood.

Excessive fatigue: When subjected to excessive physical labor over a prolonged period, excessive fatigue can harm qi. When physical labor over a prolonged period, excessive fatigue will harm Qi. Gradually, qi deficiency can lead to insufficient driving force for blood generation, resulting in both qi and blood deficiency.

4. Transient Cerebral Ischemia:

Cerebral arteriosclerosis or stenosis, thrombus shedding, and insufficient blood supply may induce transient cerebral ischemia, which may indicate high-risk diseases such as cerebral infarction in severe cases, and should be actively prevented and treated. It often occurs in middle-aged and elderly with conditions like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes, as well as atrial fibrillation and carotid artery sclerosis. When accompanied by symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, blurred or darkened vision, nosebleeds, poor coordination, it might be indicative of a stroke warning sign and requires caution.

5. Vascular Diseases related to high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes:

Often experience varying extents of vascular sclerosis poor or slowed blood flow, and nerve degeneration. This can lead to a feeling of coldness, numbness, or tightness in the hands and feet, and even sensations of pain. 6. Other Diseases: Heart and kidney diseases can also cause swelling in the fingers, often accompanied by facial or leg swelling. Diabetic patients might experience symptoms such as numbness and abnormal sensations in the hands and feet. If numbness occurs on one side of the body, it's important to be alert to the possibility of a stroke.

If any of these symptoms are present, it's advisable to seek further medical examination at a hospital.

Persistent or frequent numbness in the hands and feet that doesn't alleviate over time is likely caused by underlying diseases, also known as pathological numbness. Some of the causes are:

1. Cervical spondylosis
Prolonged sitting, looking down, using pillows that are too high or too low, and other factors can lead to cervical spondylosis. Numbness in the hands is due to cervical nerve compression, often accompanied by muscle soreness in the neck and shoulders.

2. Lumbar disc herniation
Some believe that 80% of chronic diseases and aging are related to spinal deformities and curvature. As ageing, the discs in the spine begin to degenerate. People who have been engaged in heavy physical labor, with a history of injury, or poor posture are prone to lumbar spine issues. Will often experience recurring numbness in the lower limbs. Numbness can occur in one or both of the feet, accompanied by discomfort symptoms such as low back pain.

3. Carpal tunnel syndrome
Wrist lesions or degeneration caused by injury, strain, etc., can cause finger numbness, weakness, and reduced flexibility when the nerve is compressed, and may also be accompanied by numbness and swelling in the arms and wrists. Generally, it occurs in workers who often carry, lift objects. Excessive use of smartphones and computers can also increase the risk of developing this condition.

Sleep is the prime timing for the body to undergo self-repair and rejuvenation. After a night of sleep, normally, you should feel refreshed and energetic in the morning. However, some people experience numbness in their hands and feet when they wake up from sleep.

This situation can be attributed to the following reasons:
- Incorrect sleeping posture: Sleeping in an improper posture, such as placing hands under the body or head, can disrupt blood circulation over time and lead to numbness in the hands.
- Pillow issues: Using a pillow that is too high can also affect blood circulation and result in numbness in the hands and feet.
- Poor blood circulation: Numbness in the hands and feet during sleep is often due to local blood circulation disturbances caused by compression. Insufficient blood supply to the extremities can lead to numbness.

Generally, it will be eliminated in a short period of time, and there will be no major problems. However, if someone experiences persistent numbness that lasts for a longer time (more than a day) and doesn't alleviate, it could be a sign of an underlying health issue. Conditions like diabetes and neuropathy are commonly associated with such symptoms.
