Was at Sentosa Titleist National Fitting Centre earlier today for an Update on the TSR series. Guess I won't be getting my fitting kit this week.

An interesting case came into the shop, scrutinise the 2 pictures, they look identical. Techniques used in the repair industry has gotten so creative, it’s unbelievable. At the tip of the pen nearer to you is a piece of lead weight held in the shaft by using masking tape. In one picture, the lead pin is longer, pull it out just by removing the twilled part of the masking tape. Surprise #2, the pen further away, enlarge the picture and take a closer look at the grinding at the tip. Depression created by a cutting disc I presume, shaft is weaken at numerous part on the tip section, I assume the guy doing the repair was thinking it will create better traction for the adhesives. Double whammy here, just for the info of all the amateur ASSEMBLY GUYS out there, EPOXY SHRINKS WHEN HARDENING. PXG hosel is Parallel, here is a taper shaft, the gap is already wider than normal and you grinder grooves onto the shaft, not only to weaken the shaft but also to make the gap wider, which weakens the bond further when the epoxy shrinks.

Set came in with 2 broken shafts and a loose head. Going thru a full rebuild here. Also notice never once that the term CLUB FITTER was used, this is because there is a difference between between a CLUB FITTER and a CLUB ASSEMBLER. Thanks for reading my rant.

Just for information and education purposes, been getting requests to install grips bought off the internet. Golf Pride Grips price in all 3 attached pictures were all too good to be true. There are also re-gripping service provided on the internet locally for very affordable prices with these grips. The guide is if the prices are very good, you will need to re-think.

The truth is that these grips will not be hazardous in the course of play, but are they helping in your game, the weight and sizes are not consistent with the originals much less, the quality and texture.

Final choice is still dependent on the consumer as prices of everything is going up, and golf club components are not spared.
