We are a coffee roastery that runs a cafe and sells almost everything and anything related to coffee. We provide wholesales of coffee beans, training, coffee workshops, and coffee cart services.

Role Description

This is a full-time & part-time on-site role for a barista at ASK Coffee Roastery (S) Pte Ltd located in 32 Seah Street Singapore. As a barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, such as coffee, tea & food, and handling customer orders in a professional and friendly manner.

Qualifications

●Previous experience in a similar role preferred
●Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
●Knowledge of different coffee brewing methods and coffee types
●Ability to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
●Strong communication and interpersonal skills
●Prepare and serve coffee and other beverages in accordance with the SOPs
●Ensure that the coffee equipment is calibrated and maintained to produce consistent and high-quality coffee
●Preserve and upholding excellent levels of customer service
●Stock management - ordering and storage of products, liaising with internal and external stakeholders
●Able to perform cashier and order-taking duties.
●Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by management and/or immediate superior

Job Requirements

●Service driven, outgoing, and friendly
●Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (Food Safety Level 1 is a must)
●Team player with a good learning attitude and keen interest to develop professionally in the specialty coffee industry
●Attention to detail is essential
●Self-motivated and good people skills
●44 hours work week
●Salary between $2000 to $2400

It is always a pleasure to meet fellow coffee roasters, and this time, we have a visitor from Korea.
We have a nice chat and introduce our coffee beans and a guided tour in our roastery.

Amazing things that I have learnt.
With just a 3°C difference in drop temperature between the 2 test roasts.
One with less development and lower drop temperature, acidity is high but singular but clean.
One with more development and longer mallard time, which allows longer caramelisation. This leads to a much sweeter and lower but pleasant acidity coupled with a good body.
Like my teacher .rozental says, don't be afraid to darker. Only roast light if you know how to do it properly.
Wise words indeed.
Now, I am able to appreciate it much better, and it's as if my horizon has been widened and the ability to pick up small changes and bejng able to reason.
