It’s kind of “cool” to have this new identity whenever I flip it out from my Apple wallet. 😆
If it is not for the passion of wanting to learn more about optimizing human body at different stages of life, I would not have dived into such a lengthy study again after such a long time.
Yes, it is official! Let’s get people moving!

Laying on the bed at 10pm trying to get some sleep before getting up at 2am on the race day morning. From the previous Ironman 70.3 Race experience, I already expected not having any sleep before the race. Took the ShareTransport at 3:30am from Bukit Batok central and I could only join the flag off wave at almost 5am as the crowd was just too overwhelming.
I am happy to have completed my 2nd actual half marathon race. Looking forward to have more actual races and catching up with my fellow runners and celebrate together at the finishing line! 🥂🥳

I am an Ironman! (🫡half of it at least😆)
Thank god the weather was great for the swim but I was shocked how crowded it was in the first part of the swim course.
The bike course was hilly at the start and towards the end of the lap but I was only focus on maintaining my cadence to conserve the energy for the run.
The run course had quite a few up slopes too and needed to repeat 3 laps to complete the full distance. I only focus on my heart rate so that I did not have to stop and walk except for hydration.
The finishing time was slower than I expected, however I was able to finish it stronger than I thought as I could not and did not sleep the night before (Look at my face before the swim in the 3rd photo 😵💫). The bike cadence and heart rate run with timely nutrition and hydration strategy paid off I guess for such an endurance sport. It is just that I m still not strong enough in my swim stroke rate, my bike cadence with higher power and the aerobic base for my run.
I have learnt a great deal from this journey and grateful for my family who have supported me along the way and met me at the finish line. 😍
Love you all! 😘
Cheers!🥳

Packing for Transitions, attended Transition Briefing in the Transition area for Bike and Run. Also did the bike checked in today.
It is going to be a long day tomorrow. 4:30am Hotel breakfast open, 6:30am Transition closed, 7:05am flag off.
The proverb says: “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”
I say: “my 70.3mile/113km race , begins with a swim stroke and finishes with a step” 😄
“加油!”

Joining group of friends taking the newly operated ferry transport from Tanah Merah Jetty to Desaru Coast on last Sunday morning. My purpose was to try out the actual bike course of the coming 70.3 race in 2 weeks time. Thanks to accompany to recce the course together.
Supposed to meet up with the rest and have a seafood feast at Sungei Renggit after that, however, the sudden heavy downpour spoilt our plan and ended up both of us cycling for more than 100km hardly had anything in our stomach! 😕
Anyway, it was a great experience and great accompany and lots of fun!🤗

My first triathlon event with Olympic + Distance consists of 1.5km Open water swim, 60km cycling and 10km run at East Coast Park. First taste of how to do transitions from one leg to another. Valuable experience learned and thanks to the Newbie Triatheletes SG group organized this event on 21 May.

Yes, after 2 years! It is back and it is going to happen in less than 2 months!
Am I ready? I am not so sure now😅, but I had increased the frequency of my weekly activities since I got this news in March. I hope I will be more ready by end of June. Anyway, it is my first Ironman 70.3 race, I hope I can finish it..and finish it strong! 💪😆
“Life is filled with experiences, I wish this race is one of my greatest one!” 😎

Throw back:
My first full marathon done virtually with London Marathon on 3rd Oct 2021. I missed its first ever virtual event in 2020. As a first timer to run a full marathon was not easy especially when I hit the wall after 28km.. Anyway it was a great experience and good lesson learned..

Joined this 10KM virtual race in Feb, completed in 6 sessions in March. The race period was from Feb to June, hence only received this lovely finisher medal in July.
Always wanted to post this but due to busy moving in the past few months, finally have time now to do it
Lovely! 😍

It was supposed to be my first 2XU run at F1 Pit Building starting 4:30am on 5th April 2020 registered since 2019. The pandemic had delayed this event multiple times till we were given a complimentary virtual event in May this year plus a free entry to the next physical event and hoping that will happen soon. Let’s put our fingers cross. 🤞

The Leeds Big Get Together 2021 Steps Challenge! It was an amazing experience to be teamed up with Leeds Alumni from various parts of the world and challenge the total number of steps we can complete within 7 days from 19-25 April (Mon-Sun). It is an event organized by Leeds University Alumni office for all the international Alumni to participate in this event as part of the annual university The Big Get Together Event either online or offline.
There are about 140 Alumni registered and split into 14 Teams, I am part of Team 13 and our Team name is: Parkinson Steppers. We came up to be the first runner and total accumulated close to a millions steps over 7 days by 8 active participating members!
Through a lot of scenic photos taken and shared by the participants in the chat group while we were out clocking in the millions of steps during that past 7 days, we had a chance to break away our travel restriction that many are still facing across the globe and virtually traveling around the world!😍
Big thank you to the University of Leeds Alumni Office and the alumni volunteers who planned and organized this event! 👍

Throw back: Managed to grab a slot to run with running department again in their first organized weekly Wednesday community run on 3rd March. It was limited to a number of pax in each pace group, the scene of having 100-200+ pax RD runners running together downtown like pre-Covid is no longer available at least not for the near future.
I still remember vividly when I first started my running journey with RD, I couldn’t even catch up with the 7:30min/km pace in Nov 2019. Now, I can run with these hunks at 5:30min/km pace! Thanks to the two awesome RD pacers! 👍

Nice medal, nice running singlet and nice finisher tee from this Total Defence Online Race 2021!😍
I did 17.9km instead of 7.9km to complete this race. The race is to pay tribute to everyone in Singapore who have played their part in combating the pandemic and commemorate the 79th anniversary of the surrender of the British to the Japanese on 15th Feb 1942.😉
