Jesus was crucified on Good Friday. The origins of the term, "Good Friday" is uncertain. It was deemed "good" because Jesus' death led to His resurrection after three days and His victory over sin and death. Christians observed Good Friday to commemorate the suffering and ex*****on of Jesus.

In our first-ever Virtual Charity Run, we run for every dollar (divided by 10) donated by our labourers until the end of the CB. With $850 raised as of 26 May, here's an update from our runners! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

During this period of uncertainty, it is inevitable to feel anxious or worried. God promise us in the bible not to fear because he is ALWAYS there to help us. Happy Friday, everyone! Take heart, God is with us! ❤️

Meet our 3 talented Summer Dancers:

Cliffton (on the right), started dancing since 11 years while in University, exposing himself to latin ballroom, lyrical jazz and more recently tap. Cliffton has been staging items for SMU's dance productions since 2011, working with and training dancers from the latin ballroom club. He also runs ad hoc classes for latin ballroom and lyrical jazz.

Jolene (on the left), of 8 years experience has been teaching dance as a freelancer, from hip hop to street Jazz and KPop. She specialises in floorwork and girl style. She has her own dance crew GNO, which actively participates in many dance competitions. Her recent work includes dancing for MediaCorp CNY MV, HPB dance MV and also shooting for Ribena. Jolene is a certified KKardio (dance + exercise sports) instructor, her students experience dancing to KPop songs and exercising at the same time.

Matthew (in the middle), a performer for concerts and church performances with an experience of 5 yrs and counting. He choreographs his own pieces and teaches them to students of his own. He has experience in both kpop/hiphop and urban dance. In his words, dancing has a big learning curve but is definitely fun.

From ah boy to man in ways other than NS, outdoors enthusiast Jonathan picked up many outdoor venturing skills through scouts, a faithful 9 years journey, adorned with many significant certificates to affirm such as Unit Leader Training Wood Badge Course (Singapore Scout Association), First Aid & CPR as well as being the expedition leader for a National Rover Scout Expedition in Australia.

Practically Jonathan used all the skills he picked up to fight tough conditions while in a foreign land, conditions such as dangerous terrain, low temperatures and non-stop rain did not deter him from venturing further. If anything, it made him stronger as he made use of the skills he learnt, now putting it to action in real life. (Ropework, map-reading, setting up a fire)

A few words of encouragement from the man himself to new venturers: “Learning these skills may seem daunting but as long as you are willing to try and give your best, you'll be proficient in no time. You may surprise yourself with how unexpectedly useful they can be. And as you learn the hard skills, you will develop and reinforce important soft skills like problem solving and perseverance too!”

Outdoor adventures may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think about things to do in Singapore, but let us show you otherwise!
