Have you ever thought that you can rent out or hire a personal mobility device using blockchain technology?

Personal Mobility Device Sharing Token (PMDST) aims to ease the last mile for everyone in the future with providing an amount of electric mobility vehicles for rent on its decentralized application platform for users, as saturated as three devices every hundred metres. PMDST application also possess multi vendor functions built to allow renters and borrowers to leverage on its platform to rent personal mobility devices.

Insurance is a major consideration factor and another inefficiency that affects todays peer-to-peer models as most renters have to buy a new insurance policy for the new rental process even through the vehicle renter might already have coverage for the vehicle but unable to be brought forward to the next borrower due to complications of risk assessments reasons for borrowers.

PMDST leverages on the blockchain technology to enable insurance companies to use its platforms to automatically issue and renew temporary policies for users upon commencement of a smart contract on the blockchain.

PMDST smart contract uses the blockchain to determine the risk assessment of a specific user based of claims history and many other variables with these technology in place.

A user who enters the smart contract introduces his own insurance that can also be securely verified in all processes. Each of PMDST mobility devices possess a smart module device which has GPS utility. It assists in locating the nearest devices for users using PMDST platform. It also consists of an inbuilt motion sensored alarm for theft prevention measures with smart contract programmed within the hardware. The alarm sounds out if the vehicle has exceeded the rent stated in the smart contract which is calculated basing on the distance confirmed on the moment the rent starts as well as the commencement of the smart contract consisting of the personalized viables. It triggers if it leaves the geofancing border set.

Borrowers would be able to search and see available mobiity devices on PMDST decentralized application platform map. To initate rent, users can simply choose the desired device on the app, costs of rental are calculated pro-rated using PMDST smart contract, allowing rents to be possible even as little as a hundred metres distance. These personal mobility devices can be just any devices which provide mobility to end-users/borrowers ranging from electric scooter, bicycles, motorbikes, car, lorry, vans, trucks or even down to unicycles etc. By placing devices for rent on PMDST decentralized application platform, owners will be able to get the most optimized price to rent out their vehicle instantly.

Users may also trade other crytocurrencies like BTC, ETH etc in exchange of PMDS Tokens on cryptocurrency exchange platforms. PMDS Tokens can be utilized for rent functions on PMDST application platform. A unique address would be assigned to every device for rent which means the user may possess more than one unique address. The purpose of the address assigned is so that users would be able to utilize the exchange or transfer of tokens to each others cryptocurrency wallet for the transaction payment purposes. PMDS Tokens or other cryptocurrencies used for the rent is refundable via smart contract and system calculation pro-rated if the borrower had paid more for the booking than spent for the ride.

KICKSTARTER
As this project explains, the overview is seen to be in a humongous scale. As Singapore is one of the best countries with not only its economy, security, it is the smallest country on the globe, which is one of good reasons we choose it. Kickstarting in the smallest country only benefits us in terms of being able to contain and control easier in compared to any other countries.

The next big step of ICO upcoming is entering the Intial Coin Offering (ICO) stage - having PMDS Token to be publicly traded on cryptocurrenies exchanges platforms.

Prior to that, our current stage in major preparations of ensuring the success of our Initial Coin Offering (ICO) stage. This includes confirming with vendors with the manufacturing processes of our PMDs, and also liaising with the necessary authorities for the approval for the launch Personal Mobility Devices (PMD) - which previously mentioned on the overview to be able to rent as close proximity as 100 metres.

Bicycles aside, we will be proposing to have electric PMDs charge at every lamp post through our (still in research and development (R&D) device meter so that it not only ease the charging operations in terms of costing but at the same time to promote eco friendly and ease of transportation for the people.
