Trash Hero Singapore creates sustainable, community-based projects that remove existing waste, and reduce future waste by inspiring long-term behavior change.
WHAT DO TRASH HEROES DO? Action and Awareness
We pick up trash. Whether a cigarette butt on the road, or 20,000 kilos from island beaches – if we see it, we clean it! And as they say, actions speak louder than words. By spending just a few hours together picking up trash, people can see the real world consequences of being careless about waste. Education

💛 Together, we can make a difference
PHC is activating volunteers today to clean the ECP park areas as the park cleaners have all been redeployed to work on the oil spilled beach areas instead. Volunteers would be cleaning the park areas, not the oil spilled beaches.
Anyone keen to join the volunteers at ECP can find them at the park Area D to start litter picking this afternoon at 1.30pm.
Good job to the heroes who turned out this morning! It’s rewarding for us to see you get inspired by the experience. It worths the effort heading all the way to the east side and sweating out under the sun. Remember that small changes in our lives can make a big difference to the environment!
Yes, Trash Heroes just did another cleanup again at East Coast! Endless flow of plastic waste keeps landing. The photos should give you some hints where this spot is. Go there with your family and friends. Have fun trash-hunting!
Trash Heroes assembled again! It was a swift cleanup under the threatening cloud, but the team still managed to pick up 53Kg of plastics and an unforgettable experience. Motivated to get up early and sweat out on a Sunday morning? Sure!
Trash Heroes assembled again at East Coast Park Beach yesterday, same location, same situation as we last visited. 115KG of rubbish, excluding that huge tire, was cleared by our volunteers within 2hr of sweaty work. But sad to say that tomorrow if you visit that beach, loads of trash will line up again. Why? Cleaning just doesn't solve the problem - obsessed consumption of plastics! Everyone, have you started to reduce single-use plastics? Have you started recycling? Will you bring your own container when ordering a take-away?

Always so much fun with the kids!
A lot of energy is needed to have all their attention and keep them engaged though. It’s rewarding and I can do this again, but I think I can manage just 20 of them each time. 😆
Yes it’s coming! From July, plastic bags at supermarkets are chargeable! Finally a step forward, Singapore!!
Now do you still think those plastic bags add any protection to your groceries while they are placed comfortably in your shopping cart? 🤔😆
Looking for a fun activity to engage your kids? Don't miss out our coming kid-parent program held at Bedok Library.
It's 1hr interactive activity for education on environment. Suitable for children 4-8yr old and their parents.
Becoming a Trash Hero l For kids aged 5-7 years old Learn about the story of a Trash Hero and walk on a discovery journey of environmental problems caused by single-use plastic!
Going to a cleanup is an easy thing to do. Bringing back the learnings to our communities takes a real effort. As an organiser it’s most fulfilling to see our words being carried away. Everyday is . We have only 1 earth, so don’t stop loving it!

We’re pleased to deliver another very interactive child-parent event today at Serangoon Public Library. Our young heroes had fun while taking away some knowledge to make changes for a cleaner earth together with their parents.
64th Trash Hero Clean Up - East Coast Park Beach B Join us at our next beach clean up at ECP beach B. kids above 3 are welcome.
We collaborated as a program partner with the National Library Board, yet again, this time around at the Geylang East Community Library.
This was a part of our event series to create environmental awareness among young enthusiastic children and nudge them on the path towards ‘Becoming a Trash Hero”.
Through this initiative, several primary school children and their parents collaborated in group activities and interactive quiz games to acquaint themselves on the immediate harmful impact, that single-use plastic can have on the environment.
We hope our little Trash Heroes are all charged up by now and brimming with ideas as they commence their journey to protect our Earth!
We’re happy to have collaborated as a program partner with the National Library Board for its recent “Green Market: Live Light, Go Green” event at the Choa Chu Kang Public Library. Together, through our “Becoming a Trash Hero” program, we’ve helped patrons, including parents and children, understand the environmental problems caused by single-use plastics, and inspired our little Trash Heroes to start their journey to protect our Earth!

Everyone was still so motivated to start a meaningful movement to rectify the damages made by obsessed consumption of plastics. We collected 91kg of trash, all kinds of single-use plastics.
Joining a cleanup is the first step towards a Change of consumption habit. Keep going Heroes!
Still planning for your long weekend? Why not do something meaningful? Just bring a bag with you when you visit East Coast Park.
