We are holding our inaugural mission month in BC this August led by our missions pastor, Ps Joseph Keh, with Bro Joseph Chean from Antioch21 opening the sessions in the upcoming 2 weeks. Do come and join us and hear God's heart for missions and the role he has called BC into.

The last 4 days at camp has truly been a time of refreshing for our physical and spirit man!

Thank you Holy Spirit for drawing us deeper into Christ and towards one another 🔥 Come and fill us once again! 🙌🏻

Thank you for the new friendships and fellowship! We trust that your hearts ❤️ are as blessed as ours!

Beginning this week, we embark on a 5-week sermon series from the book of TITUS on the theme of Faith & Works, where it speaks of how our beliefs and what we know/are taught affects our behaviour as disciples of Christ!

𝟐𝟖 𝐌𝐚𝐲 | 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Our hearts and bellies are full ❤️ after last weekend's 31st Anniversary Service! God's goodness was truly overflowing upon this house and in our hearts as we gathered as a family.

We thank God for the premise that He has given us and remember His call and purpose for the church. Let us move Forward in Faith and do His will.

All glory and honor is due His name! Jesus is Lord!

Bethesda Cathedral AGM 2023 - 30 years since our initial constitution was written, we have brought an update in alignment to the Charity Guidelines and in relation to the church direction and vision.

This is our first physical AGM since the pandemic and how great it is to be in the midst of our people with one heart and mind. God is good!

Let’s move Forward in Faith! Looking forward to the month of May and our 31st Anniversary celebrations ahead 🥳

ᴜᴘᴄᴏᴍɪɴɢ ꜱᴇʀᴠɪᴄᴇꜱ ᴛʜɪꜱ ᴡᴇᴇᴋᴇɴᴅ - 7 & 9 ᴀᴘʀ 2023

Invite your friends this Good Friday and Easter Sunday to hear the message of the gospel shared by Ps Leong SH and Elder Caleb Lim at the respective services!

Let us come expecting to encounter our Lord Jesus Christ and for the revelation of the power of the cross and what it means for our lives.

ᴅᴀʏ 40: ᴠɪᴄᴛᴏʀʏ ɪɴ ᴄʜʀɪꜱᴛ!

ᴠᴇʀꜱᴇ
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time.” – (1 Timothy 2:1-6, NIV)

ᴅᴇᴠᴏᴛɪᴏɴ ʀᴇᴀᴅɪɴɢ
If you are pessimistic and beaten down by the world, the Word of God is for you! Jesus Christ died for you and He lives for you. There is forgiveness and peace in God's Son, our Saviour. There is victory in Christ over everything that stands in your way to real happiness, true peace, and everlasting life. There is always the Christ who goes before us. We do battle armed with God's Word. With faith in God, there is spiritual power to meet life's obstacles and strength to withstand the wiles of the enemy and to persevere (see Ephesians 6:10-20).

To some people, praying sound like impractical advice. To them prayer is a desperate measure, something you try when everything else has failed. To people with faith in God, prayer is born not out of desperation but out of confidence in God which gives a man hope. Because he knows the action of God is man's first and best hope.

When you pray for others, be prepared for the possibility that God will begin with you. Pray that others; your family and friends, your enemies, leaders in high positions that they may open their hearts and minds to the will of God. Pray with hope and courage, and be prepared for a call to action right where you are, where you live, where you work.

Pray and place your trust in God "who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."

ᴘʀᴀʏᴇʀ
Heavenly Father, we pray for those who need to hear and receive Your truth. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

2 ᴀᴘʀ - ʙᴇ ʀᴇᴀᴅʏ ᴛᴏ ᴍᴏᴠᴇ

ᴅᴀʏ 39: ꜱᴛᴏᴘ ᴅᴏᴜʙᴛɪɴɢ

ᴠᴇʀꜱᴇ
“On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, ‘Peace be with you!’ After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord….Now Thomas (also known as Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, ‘We have seen the Lord!’ But he said to them, ‘Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.’ A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, ‘Peace be with you!’ Then he said to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.’ Thomas said to him, ‘My Lord and my God!’ Then Jesus told him, ‘Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.’” – (John 20:19-20, 24-29, NIV)

ᴅᴇᴠᴏᴛɪᴏɴ ʀᴇᴀᴅɪɴɢ
Thomas sounds rather annoyed and said to his fellow disciples, “Unless I see in His hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into His side, I will never believe.”

That is the kind of thing you say at the end of a long and heated argument – a way to shut up your opponent. It is not terribly tactful, but Thomas was probably done being tactful by that point. As far as he was concerned, either the whole group was crazy, or they were playing a cruel joke on him. And so matters rested until Jesus came.

And He came first to Thomas. The minute Jesus finishes greeting the group, it is a case of “Come here, Thomas; I have something to show you.” And Jesus settles his doubts once and for all. He quotes his exact words back at him: “Put your finger here, and see My hands; and put out your hand, and place it in My side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.”

Thomas believes. And so do I, and so do you because Jesus sees our needs and meets them. He may take His time about it. He certainly did with Thomas. But He has not forgotten us. He has not given up on us. How could He, when He already loved us enough to die and to rise again for us.

ᴘʀᴀʏᴇʀ
Dear Lord, thank You for Your loving patience with me when I find it hard to believe. Amen.

ᴅᴀʏ 38: ɴᴏ ᴀᴄᴄɪᴅᴇɴᴛ

ᴠᴇʀꜱᴇ
“It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Jesus called out with a loud voice, ‘Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.’ When he had said this, he breathed his last.” – (Luke 23:44-46, NIV)

ᴅᴇᴠᴏᴛɪᴏɴ ʀᴇᴀᴅɪɴɢ
Three hours of darkness. An earthquake. And Jesus' final words, “Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit!” And then He died.

For most of us, death comes unchosen. It happens when we can no longer escape it. But that is not true for Jesus. His death was planned from the foundation of the world, chosen by the Father.

Jesus has finished the work that love drove Him to do. The devil has been defeated; the great ransom has been paid; God's people are free. They don't know it yet, but they will soon and they will rejoice. For on the third day Jesus will rise from the dead, never to die again – a thing that has never happened since the beginning of the world. He will share this gift of life with the people He loves and has saved – with you and me, and everyone who trusts in Him.

Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for saving us. Amen.
