Our members and Community Team in Australia got together yesterday to celebrate the Biggest Morning Tea with their lovely home bakes and catered pastries – not just for a casual chat but to also raise funds for the Cancer Council. Twas' a delightful and meaningful Thursday.

In conjunction with Earth Day this year, JustCo Korea organized an event to reduce fashion’s footprint by rallying members in Seoul to drop off their lightly used clothes at any JustCo KR centre. All donated textile will then be sold at Beautiful Stores islandwide, with profits going towards supporting underprivileged communities.

Clothes collection period at all our Korea centres will end this Friday, 26 April.

In the latest get-together in , we served Anpan – a traditional Japanese bread typically filled with red bean paste. Also making the menu were strawberry and apricot Anpan, novelty flavours not commonly found at convenience stores.

Anpan Day became a yearly celebration after samurai-turned-baker Mr Kimura Yasubei presented an Anpan to the Meiji Emperor and Empress on 4 April 1875.

This International Women’s Day, we’d like you to meet Vanessa Corrone, Manager of the Community Team (Melbourne). A natural leader and problem-solver, Vanessa strongly believes in the power of people, and gratitude.

And what better way to show appreciation for the people around her than through baked goods. Outside of work, Vanessa bakes – a hobby she picked up from her late Nonna which has taught her patience and meticulousness (values that have helped her professionally).

She was the first female Concierge at a five-star hotel and has over a decade of experience in the hospitality industry. Today, she leads her Community Team with grace and passion, owing it to the people around her for her successes.
