"5-star experience for first visit to Singapore. I stayed here for an extended layover visit to Singapore. I chose the hotel because it had great reviews, seemed well located, offered amenities (gym, pool, restaurants and cafe) and was well priced. This hotel ended up ticking all the boxes. I was so happy with my choice and would stay here again if I return to Singapore because it offered such great value for what I experienced. The service was great and despite arriving really early, they worked to have my room ready a couple of hours before check in. My room was on the 16th floor. It was modern, spacious (with high ceilings), and well equipped with both rainfall shower, good size tub (which filled quickly), well thought out lighting and ample power outlets. The gym, while small, had decent equipment. The pool area was lovely. I walked pretty much everywhere I went and found the hotel well located for seeing many key neighborhoods and sights. I particularly liked how close it was to Chinatown, the Maxwell food centre, etc.

"We stayed in Carlton City Hotel for 3 nights while visiting Singapore, it was well situated just outside of Chinatown. The hotel itself had a good sized room, well-appointed bathroom, clean rooms which were serviced daily. The pool is situated on an upper floor, but was of good size with sunbeds around, gowns were provided from the room, with towels available at the poolside, also had a relaxing area away from the pool. A great view from our standard room. Very satisfied with our stay, staff were very helpful, especially calling taxis when needed."
