Miss Universe Singapore 2022 1st Runner Up, Yvonne Sashirekha .sash , visited with her fiancé Matthew this weekend to have her trophy (Angsana wood from Orchard) engraved. The SG Miss Universe finalists we’ve met in the process of making the trophies truly are accomplished outside of their modelling careers: Yvonne works full time as a nurse, Carissa .rissa is a full time business student, and Denissa Delange we’re still waiting for you! sg

Burnt Ends .sg needed a main battle station front & centre on their counter, but there’s no electric outlet there, so we’ve become experts in USB battery LED lighting now! Their service is world-class – as good as the best in NYC, which is my personal standard of comparison. No glass shall remain empty, no request is too difficult & orders arrive and plates are cleared at exactly the right moment. We thought they’d have a special app or computer system running, but no, it’s a 100% old-school impossible to learn Chef management system run fully with paper, markers, hand gestures, and some yelling – directed (more like conducted – as in “orchestra”) from this podium at the centre of everything.

Our showroom will be CLOSED Fri/Sat/Sun MARCH 17/18/19 because we are at the Boutiques Fair at F1 Pit Building. Please visit us there!

After a full day of work at our showroom, guard dog Ris visited with Singapore’s top painters, toured the gallery, checked out the work and ate too many CNY pork treats at 55

We donated a sustainable 100% grown & cut in SG African Mahogany dining table to the charity auction at the American Association of Singapore’s George Washington Ball this past weekend.

Thanks Celina & Wendy for checking out the table & having a quick chat about using trees cut in Singapore & sustainability issues.

Other than the few fun moments in these photos, I was the one boring everyone by talking about why we import so much wood to SG from natural rain forests while disposing the amazing wood that’s cut here. Actually had a lot of great discussions about this and a great evening.
