We're thrilled to announce the upcoming Basic and Advanced Ku-Nye classes, focusing on Sowa Rigpa massage therapy, alongside a basic introduction class on the Sowa Rigpa Medical system at Sowa Rigpa International College in Kathmandu, Nepal. Scheduled from July 1st to 11th, 2024, these classes are in high demand following positive feedback from former international students. Led by Jacqueline Yu from Singapore, with 27 years of therapy experience and 16 years as a ku-nye teacher, participants will benefit from her expertise. Jacqueline is a dedicated student of (Amchi) Dr. Nida Chenagtsang.

Everest Sorig Aid Medical Camp & Trek 17th April to 30th April, mission successfully completed!

A medical camp was organized by SORIG AID and HIMALAYAN RAYS with the kind help of LITTLE YELLOW FLOWER and KUNPHEN CLINIC and other donors in the district of SOLUKHUMBHU.
There were 8 SOWA RIGPA doctors and 7 other practitioner and students of SOWA RIGPa from SOWA RIGPA INSTITUTE on the first camp at KHUMJUNG. About 143 patients were treated with thw prescriptions of medicines and therapies. It was seen that their main issues were arthritis, gastritis, eyes and ears problems. Moreover, they also seem to lack a services of traditional medicine provision which is more affordable for them in compare to an allopathy. Different awareness about hygiene, diet and lifestyles were mentioned to each individual as per needed.

The second camp was done with an inclusion of 7 doctors and the same other team to about 55 patients at a place called SURKEY. It was an exceptional camp for our pottery and the local people and also for an army working for the construction of the new vehicle road.

The third camp was done for a day and a half and was conducted to thw nuns and monks of THIPTEN CHOELHING MONASTERY. There were about 160 patients with a total of 27 team members. The major health problems were either of menstrual and gastritis and more of arthritis. Also, a big sim of the nuns have high blood pressure issues which were seemingly bad. What it was seen was that the nuns even with an availability of Mentseekahng, they seem to be shy to talk about their gynecology issue to the doctor who is a monk.

Within this camp, what we saw was that a minor health issues were not handled properly and are unaware to them except for few who were working as guide before. Many of the disorders were gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, gynaecological and Hypertension.
We tried our best to recommend a good lifestyles and diets as per an individual. And assuredly provision of medicines were done with a careful observation. Different therapies were performed including stick therapy, aromatic therapy, etc. apart from cupping, acupuncture, blood letting, Kunye, moxibustion.

Our motivation was to help them to better their health status and give awareness. Also, it was a Study how we can help them more effectively in near future without any leftout efforts in the coming days. With a great responses and their kind Feedbacks were overwhelmingly heart touching. The villagers and nuns were effortlessly ready to help us with anything we needed.
The team members were physically and emotionally involved and they were really hard working. All were eager to learn from each other.

And with great blessings from HIS EMINENCE KHRULSHIG RINPOCHE and MARATIKA, there were no severe obstacles and all the team members did it.
The camp started from 16th April and lasted till 30th April, 2024.
