About Us

Global Mangrove Trust is a non-profit organization based in Singapore that’s combating climate change by making mangrove forestry accessible for both individual and corporate sponsors. We do this by empowering a global network to contribute to and participate in community-based mangrove forestry efforts through non-speculative, natural capital-based blockchain technology.

Set by the United Nations in 2015, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is a collection of global goals that cover social and economic development issues.

Global Mangrove Trust is committed at working towards achieving 12 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, including Quality Education, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Sustainable Cities and Communities, Responsible Consumption and Production, Climate Action, Life Below Water, Life on Land, and Partnerships for the Goals.

Ryan Merrill

Managing Director

Ryan is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Sustainability, Strategy and Innovation. He explores Innovations in Sustainability-Improving Agribusiness and Water Purification and Distribution in South East Asia. He has spent 10 years in higher management in areas including energy research & education, finance, business strategy, market analysis, and consulting. His passions include energy and environmental policy, sustainable development, organizational design, urban planning, international business, and innovation He holds a PhD in Policy, Planning & Development from University of Southern Carolina.

Innovation & Technology

Simon is an assistant professor of Strategy Management in Singapore Management University. He does research on Innovation in Agriculture, Semiconductors, and Pharma, and his interest lies in blockchain, bitcoin, and market disruption. He holds a PhD in Management from Imperial College London Business School.

Linzi is a brand strategist. She focuses on brand strategy and digital marketing. She is continually building and growing businesses from scratch and this has enabled her to develop creative marketing expertise.

Linzi founded SUPKids in 2014. The SUPKids program is designed to teach kids Standup Paddleboarding (SUP), water safety & environmental education. The vision is to create experiences for SUPKids that will enhance their appreciation, respect & understanding for sustainable living. She has a deep passion for nature and the environment, as well as sustainable living.
