Today's is "Metropolis: A City, Its People, Their Way of Life", a celebration of thirty years of Metropolis excavations, in which more than 11 thousand historical artifacts were unearthed, as well as many valuable structures such as the Acropolis, Theatre, Agora, Bath Complexes, and the Araplıtepe Church.

This book, a product of five years of work, follows a clear narrative that follows traces of the different civilizations living here and includes contributions from 22 local and foreign researchers who are experts in their fields.

Today's celebrates tomorrow's ! What better author to read this week than the Turkish author Bilge Karasu who is well known for using cats in his fiction.

feature in his novels 'Göçmüş Kediler Bahçesi' (The Garden of Departed Cats) and 'Troy'da bir Ölüm Vardı' (Death in Troy) which were both translated into English by Aron Aji, but today we've chosen Karasu's selection of essays 'Ne Kitapsız, Ne Kedisiz' which translates as 'Neither Without Books nor Without Cats' which ruminates on cats, writing and books.

Today's is Faisal H. Husain's Rivers of the Sultan: The Tigris and Euphrates in the Ottoman Empire.

This book breaks new ground in by offering a history of the Ottoman Empire’s management of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers in the early modern period. It was also one of the recipients of 2022's Ottoman and Turkish Studies Association Book Prize.

Founded in 1947, the BIAA was incorporated in the 1956 cultural agreement between the Republic of Turkey and the United Kingdom. The BIAA has offices in Ankara and London, and a dedicated staff of experts from a wide variety of academic and cultural backgrounds.
