Today we honor Juneteenth.

Juneteenth, celebrated on June 19th, marks the day in 1865 when Major General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, and issued an order proclaiming freedom for enslaved people. This day came more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, symbolizing the end of slavery in the United States.

On this day, we celebrate freedom and reflect on our shared history.
