Know.
Peer influence increases during the teen years, but the influence of caring adults can remain strong if a parent has established a strong relationship during earlier years.
A friend or group of friends can be a positive peer influences if their behaviors are healthy, age-appropriate, and socially acceptable.
There are four different type of peer pressure: spoken, unspoken, negative and positive. Spoken peer pressure is when a person asks, suggests, persuades, or directs another to engage in a specific behavior. Unspoken peer pressure deals with the actions of others and the person is left to choose if they want to follow or not. Negative peer pressure is asking a person to engage in behaviors that go against their beliefs.

Dear Warrior Family,
We need your help! We ask you to please complete the Census 2020 survey. The completion of the survey will assist Alabaster City Schools in keeping federal money that helps us support our students and families.
A low Census completion rate will result in loss of funding for:
• Child Nutrition Program for students and families. We have served over 60,000 meals during this COVID-19 pandemic o During our summer months, we serve 45,000 meals
• English Language Learners (ELL) and after-school programs
• Special Education and Career Tech programs
Warrior Family... Let’s do our part!
• Complete your Census survey
• Ask your family members to complete their Census survey
• Ask your friends and co-workers to complete their Census survey
There are three easy ways to complete your 2020 Census:
1. Internet - my2020census.gov
2. Telephone - (844) 330-2020
3. Mail-in questionnaire (this was sent to the residence... if the household has not
responded, someone may deliver the questionnaire to your home.... or, call the number above to request the questionnaire.
Thanks!
Go Warriors!

Congrats Class of 2020!
THS Class of 2020 Honored with Visual Display
Alabaster, AL (May 1, 2020) – Members of the Thompson High School Class of 2020 are being recognized with a visual display on their Warrior Parkway campus. On a day previously slated for the annual “Parade of Graduates,” individual personalized signs honoring each senior in the 544 member graduating class were placed in front of the main school building. Signs were made possible by Alabaster City Schools and were positioned by members of the THS and ACS administration and staff. Administrators chose to have this display on campus because our students are united as a family and when everyone is together, it is much like home. This display will remain until Tuesday, May 19—the original graduation day for the senior class.
All seniors, their families, and community members are invited to drive along Warrior Parkway to view the display. School officials request adherence to social distancing practices should students leave their vehicles to make photographs.
Seniors will return to campus on Tuesday, May 19 to retrieve their signs, along with caps & gowns, diplomas, final transcripts, honor cords/medallions, and other senior documents. Details regarding this process will be communicated via email and through THS and ACS social media outlets.

We had a great day serving at the 2019 “I Cared Enough” Thanksgiving Meal in Birmingham! Today we provided a Thanksgiving meal for nearly 3,000 of Birmingham’s homeless, hopeless, helpless, hurting and hungry. Each attendee left the event with groceries, clothing, and hopefully a full heart, as well. ❤️
