It’s that time of the year for the Annual Murph Challenge!
When: Monday, May 29
Times: 8:30am and 10:00am (note that these are in place of all regular class times, so please make an effort to start the week off with us all!)
Fun: Hang out and socialize after the 10:00am class for those interested🎉
It’s Mental Health Awareness Month!
According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illness, and 1 in 20 experience serious illness. Additionally, about 17% of children aged 6-17 experience a mental health disorder. That’s millions of people in the U.S. alone! The key here is that we are not alone, even when things can feel so isolating.
It’s no secret that at CrossFit Beyond we love to use fitness and our amazing community as one of our personal tools in our toolkit for both our social and physical well-being. While we may need more than fitness and our community to lessen every day stressors, it has been a great addition to many inside our walls. Just know that we’re here for you and you’re not alone!
Please note: In no way is the gym or physical fitness a substitution for therapy and other means of mental health treatment. However, physical fitness is a great means to cope with outside stressors of life and a means of healthy self care.
