“The LGBTQIA+ community is significantly underrepresented in clinical trials. A comprehensive analysis by Parexel colleagues, which included over 116,000 published articles detailing clinical trial outcomes from July 2018 to February 2022, revealed that only 78 of those articles reported participation from transgender individuals. It is imperative to champion the inclusion of all diverse groups in clinical research and to acknowledge the multifaceted identities of individuals.”
