Wishing You & Yours a very happy 4th๐๐๐๐ -
๐Wishing You & Yours a very happy 4th๐ I realized just how much has shifted in this last year. My husband graduated and came home from War college last July and we welcomed not only a new puppy (July 3rd today is his gotcha day!) but dear friends to stay with us for 18 months while her husband was deployed. WOW.
Enjoy your day!
Legs up the wall is one of my favorite ways to re.Center myself after a busy day period and nothing is better than having a puppy help you relax.
Sometimes self care is as simple as taking ten minutes to put your feet up with a friend. Legs up the wall and a little breathing will re-center and ground you. Especially as the weather warms up.
Happy Lunar New Year. A time of celebration, new beginnings, and family.
Enjoy!
Wishing everyone a safe & happy holiday season.
The office will be closed from December 22nd to January 2nd. Please contact me me by email if you need anything prior to the new year. [email protected]
๐งก Happy Thanksgiving! ๐งก Take time to reflect on everything wonderful that's happened this year. Remind yourself of the victories - small and large - that should be celebrated at this time of year.
Scorpio is passionate and intuitive...it's also the sign most interested in the "taboo." ๐ Ruled by the 8th house of rebirth and transformation and the planet Pluto, Scorpio ๐ฆ shows its dark side more often than others. That means this New Moon is an invitation to explore your shadow side through your intuition, passions, and emotions.
How will you work with this New Moon?
What intentions are you setting? ๐
It's Fall! Okay, it's almost...I am so excited for this season because of all the cozy things-warm sweaters & socks, my knitting basket and most of all crunchy leaves. What about you?

Here are some things that are working for us for back to school-
Planning time-schedule it! So it gets done weekly-maybe an hour on a Friday for meals, groceries, chores and projects and fun time too.
Get an organization system in place-we have a family calendar that has a place for appts, meetings, important dates and the ability to share and change things quickly. Hooks for backpacks, a designated water bottle and snack bins where the kids can grab and go on their own.
Get everyone involved and have a family meeting about flow in the transition times and set the kitchen up so your kiddos have grab and go healthy snacks, cups and dishes for ease of the am routine.
Create a 10 minute pause before you head out to the bus/car and support each other with an easy checklist so everyone has what they need=> organize the lunches, backpacks and work supplies.
Make time for being silly whether its snuggles and play time, a solo parent and kid project or a family walk. Have fun. Show them the balance they need to strive for.
Get enough sleep, stay hydrated and exercise.
Plan and prep meals so itโs easier to eat a rainbow every day. Getting all your vitamins and nutrients will support you & your young learners.
Take some extra antioxidants and elderberries to boost the immune system.
Be flexible about big feelings. Going back to school is fun, tiring and hard. Be prepared for more down time and maybe an earlier bedtime depending on your family's schedule.
Connect, adjust and enjoy each other. We do a fun Friday dinner and movie where everyone helps cook and we watch a movie together. It helps us all unwind.
What works for you? Connect and let me know. I am always up for learning a new trick.

What kind of needles are used for acupuncture? ๐
When most people think of needles, they think of ones that are used for vaccines or drawing blood. These hollow needles have to puncture the skin โ and can be painful. But these hollow needles arenโt used for acupuncture.
Acupuncture needles are solid, stainless steel needles that are usually not much larger than a strand of hair. Acupuncture needles go between tissues, making them less painful or barely noticeable, depending on the person. ๐

This is so important...time management allows for the freedom to add yourself to your to do list...https://www.facebook.com/100050001175461/posts/701658831510816/?mibextid=Nif5oz
Most people report having intense schedules and being โtoo busy,โ or not having enough time, even if their schedule is packed with things they mostly enjoy or that they believe they want to do or need to do. And, for others, their free time is truly limited because of economic or social support challenges, due to working multiple jobs or managing a household by themselves. All in all, there is a fine line between thriving and surviving, and burnout is a real issue.
Better time management leads to more time for self-care or completion of activities that are vital to your well-being. Most people do not realize that time management difficulties are a result of poor boundaries, often related to helping others or avoiding some internal or external fear. Upon evaluation, most people who say that they donโt have time for themselves are those who are not making time for themselves.
Time management leads to more time for self-care. By this, I mean the necessary activities for healthy functioning like eating, sleeping, exercising, resting, meaningful connection, and engaging in activities that bring you joy. Whether you have four hours or 15 minutes, what you choose to do is important.
