We're thrilled to host our first Safe Sitter® class on June 28th, dedicated to preparing young teens and teens to be safe when they're home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Our hands-on, interactive class teaches essential life skills, first aid, and rescue skills, helping build confidence and competence.

In 2020, Glenda Smith was diagnosed with breast cancer during the COVID-19 pandemic. With no symptoms or family history, it came as a complete shock, and times became tougher in an already tough climate. But with support from CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Cancer Center, she underwent a lumpectomy procedure to remove the cancerous tumor and 19 radiation treatments.
Her doctor, Dr. Lawrence Menache, radiation oncologist, stayed by her side, offering comfort and support until she received the care she needed. Now in remission, Glenda is back in her community, inspired by the care she received. Today, she encourages others to hold steadfast to faith.
