Tonight our association held the annual meeting where an election took place and our annual awards were handed out.

John Cavagnaro Memorial Award - Mylie Philbrick

Also a special award was present to our outgoing President Ed Guzdek for his many years of contribution to our league.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

This past weekend our Girls 14U TB team coached by Joe Kazmark won the OWHL U15 BB Southern Championship.

The OWHL (Ontario Women's Hockey League) has 52 teams in 5 subdivisions at the U15 BB level.

They won the Central West regular season division: 19-1-2. In Round 1 of the central west playoffs they played a home/away series for a total of 6 games and went 4-2. Then won the Central West Playoffs to advance to round 2 and play the winner of the West division (Lambeth Lancers). That placed them in the top 5 out of 52 teams.

They then beat Lambeth Lancers in a 2 game series in round 2 to make it to the Championship on April 6.

After 3 periods and a 5 minute overtime both teams were tied 2-2. In the end they won in a very exciting shootout!!

Their season record was: Central West: 19-1-2, Overall OWHL record: 25-3-3 & Semi finalists in States.

All families interested in our Spring 3v3 league are asked to please register by no later than 5pm on Sunday, March 17, 2024. After that time, registration will close. Further information is available on the association website.

Our boys 2014 teams are full as of tryouts tonight.

If you're headed to the Northtown Center today and tomorrow for Amherst Youth Hockey tryouts, stop into the Pro Shop to start next season with some free swag from Front Row! Today, from 6pm until close and Wednesday from 5:30 until close. Winner will be drawn later this week!

Congratulations to the St. Joes JV team the is affiliated with our organization on winning their division beating St. Francis in overtime this past Monday. This team is coached by Jon Beck and went 15-1-3 this season.

Congratulations to our house program white team coached by Scott Porto as they won Super Sunday (12u Cup) and also won the 12u White Division Independent League Championship.

Congratulations to Luke Kaminska on being awarded the Sawicki Award for goaltending. He played for team black 10U in our house program coached by Paul Galgovich.

Today was the end of our house hockey program. Here is the trophy ceremony for our Novice group.

Congratulations to our 12U AA coached by Kevin Kreutzer as they won the Irish South Bend tournament played this past weekend at the University of Norte Dame.

Our 12U AAA team coached by Jon Beck went 5-0-1 to win the Mad Man Tournament in Cleveland, OH this past weekend. Well done boys, Congratulations!

Our 9U AA team coached by Brian Croak won the Irish South Bend Tournament played this past weekend at the University of Norte Dame. Congratulations to all!

Congratulations to our Girls 19U NTB who went 4-0 in the Sarah Backstrom Tournament this past weekend in Erie, PA. This team is coached by Marc Bellacose.
