Another day of competition done. Apex Kickboxing Team went 3 for 6, with some tough battles and excellent performances, even with the 3 loses.

Adison, Isaac and Lia won their bouts with dominant performances. Al and Misty fought tough opponents, and though they lost, they got better at their game. Ibby fought a very experienced opponent and, though he lost, he had had an excellent performance.

You'll see Isaac and Ibby on Lightning Strikes XV in Feb 22, making their amateur debuts.

We had a couple back-to-back bouts a didn't get enough pictures this time, but I know that I speak for all our coaches, we are very proud of our Team and we look forward to the future.

We're back!!! Apex Martial Arts Center and United Thai Boxing & MMA present our 2nd IKF PKB, PMT & PBSC Mid-Atlantic Grand Championship on Saturday, August 31st at Netsports in Morrisville.

We set an East Coast tournament record with our first tournament and we're ready to make things bigger and better. 4 rings, tons of trophies and awards, tasty food and LOTS OF ACTION!

Apex Martial Arts Center is hosting its 24th IKF PKB/PMT/PBSC on Saturday, April 20th at Apex Martial Arts Center. This is a semi-contact event. It's all about points, not power!

4 out of 6 wins today for our team at the IKF Spring Classic PKB.

Isaac and Trevor had their first two fights, with Isaac winning 1st place in his 4-man division.

Trevor and Ibby both won their first fights but lost by close decision on their other two.

Overall, it was a great learning experience that we'll build upon.

Thank you, coach Cole, for helping warm up and corner the guys with me. Thanks, coach Chris, for working on their conditioning, and thank you, coach Billy, for holding down the fort while we're gone.

We're back at it on Tuesday to get ready for April 13 Lightning Strikes, with Brandon fighting on our card and more PKB's for the Team on April 20th.

We'd like to thank everyone for attending the 1st Mid-Atlantic Point Kickboxing, Muay Thai and Boxing Championship event promoted by Apex Martial Arts Center, United Thai Boxing & MMA and the International Kickboxing Federation.

We set an all-time record for fighter participation on the East Coast (over 200 fighters), and it was because of you that this event was a success. Thank you everyone for being part of our Kickboxing, Muay Thai and Boxing communities. We appreciate all of you, and we'll continue working hard to provide as many opportunities to compete in semi-contact and full-contact events as possible.

With growth comes growing pains. We learned a lot from this one. We are assessing things and have made notes for improvement as we continue to grow the sport in our State and across the U.S. A sincere thank you for working with us along the way!

A few new additions to the gym. We custom-fitted our ring and got some new leather Thai pads. We wore out the old stuff so it was time. Come on by and help us wear out the new stuff?

Wow! A new IKF PKB/PMT/PBSC record.

We currently have 150 fighters and counting for tomorrow's Mid-Atlantic IKF PKB/PMT/PBSC Grand Championship. This is a new East Coast record for the most competitors at our events.

We're proud to be part of the growing IKF family, and the Kickboxing, Muay Thai, and Boxing community in NC.

Our first Kids BJJ promotion day this past Saturday. Our new BJJ program is growing. For ages 6-12, come join the fun!

Saturday morning, beginner class. Nice to see so many people working to get better before they start their weekend.

We had a packed house last night. It was a bit cramped, but we made due. It's awesome to see so many people learning kickboxing and having fun.

This Saturday May 6th Dave Rosenmarkle and Jeff Piercy are hosting a BJJ guard passing clinic during the normal open mat time.

Dave has a guest black belt coming from out of town to roll with everyone as well. This is a great opportunity for improvement.

Also the following day May 7th we will be doing a continuation and more training at our friends at the Bull and Bear Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & MMA. Both sessions is 10:00-12:00.
