Tiger Rock and Robotics Academy are teamed up to bring you a fun and engaging summer program beginning June 10th through August 23rd! From 9am to 3:30pm, grades K-10 will participate in STEM Based Progressive Curriculum. From Lego Robotics to Programming and Drones, your child will enjoy stimulating activities with Robotics Academy. To conclude each day, from 3:30pm - 4:30pm, your child will get to participate in self-defense classes with us at Tiger Rock, promoting exercise, discipline, focus and more. This is an opportunity you don't want to miss. We hope to see you there!

It's that time again!

Testing is just around the corner. Both colored belts AND black belt testing will be held so we hope everyone will take the time in the coming weeks to train hard and earn your stripes so we can watch you all ADVANCE in the next cycle! (:

Pre-Testing will be held Wednesday, May 22nd at 5:30pm so please come prepared! If this date will not work for your or if you do not pass your pre-test, please coordinate your make up with Mrs. Jenkins or Miss Gannotta.

Red, White and Black Week is June 3rd through June 8th. The goal is to have already earned your stripes and ask your instructors for opportunities to earn your "Ready to Test" stripe. We have a lot of people eligible to test and we want to make sure we have enough time to earn their stripes and take the extra review/practice if needed.

Please make note of testing registrations! It is very important, especially for black belt orders, to register by the deadline!

Good Afternoon TR Team,

The good news is the bathroom toilet on the small side is getting fixed, the bad news is that the issues with the small side has morphed into all plumbing in the building being affected i.e.. NO WORKING TOILETS. Due to the lack of facilities Classes are canceled for today. I will keep everyone in the loop. We should be good by tomorrow afternoon.

This May 9th and 10th, Tiger Rock holds the "Defense Combine." This 3A-Defense event challenges a student in live time to react, adapt and instinctively apply trained decision-making using verbal and physical actions.
These are skills and practice that can be used to protect oneself in bullying scenarios, and also cater to emotional balance and empowerment. While this event is competitive, we also value the survival instinct that can come out of it, as well as the protection of ourselves and others.
While the event is held over the course of 2 days, you will only participate in one. Please consult the Defense Combine Schedule or the TR app to see when you are eligible to compete!

If you are interested in becoming a Red Jacket or are already a Red Jacket, please consider coming to our "Leadership 101" session.

This is a meeting where we clarify the qualifications to become a Red Jacket, what it means to be a Red Jacket, and the expectations/responsibilities we have for our Red Jackets.

We encourage both parents and students to attend if you can so we can all do our part to ensure this program meets our goals of building leadership, generating confidence, and broadening our taekwondo skills. Being a Red Jacket doesn't stop when we take our jacket off!

With the Defense Combine coming up on the 9th and 10th of May, this could be a good opportunity to work one on one to really build on the skills that people will be learning and competing with.

However, this is not the only reason for private lessons. This is a great opportunity for students to learn their curriculum, review previous curriculum, or work on skills that may be a struggle to grasp.

The Holly Springs Chamber is thrilled to bring back SpringsFest in 2024!
SpringsFest is a free outdoor festival bringing together the community to enjoy a day in Holly Springs.
The event will feature over 100 vendors, our local downtown businesses, food trucks, live music, local breweries, kid’s activities and entertainment, and a car show.

Downtown Road Closures on Saturday, April 20th

Northbound Main St. traffic (ie coming from Hwy 55 by-pass): Main St. will be closed to all northbound traffic from Elm St. to Earp St. from 6am to 6pm for SpringsFest. Vehicles will be detoured left onto Elm St., to Avent Ferry Rd; can then proceed to Earp; making a left to proceed to W. Holly Springs Rd. via Blalock St.

Southbound Main St. traffic (coming from N. Main St. or W. Holly Springs Rd) will be detoured right onto Earp St., left onto Avent Ferry Rd. from 7am to 6pm.

Holly Springs Rd. will be closed in both directions from N. Main St. to Johnson Rd (at Holly Spring Elementary) from 7:00AM to approx. 8:15AM due to the race.


Parking & Shuttle Information


Please be aware that public parking lots, parking garages, and street parking downtown will be inaccessible due to road closures for SpringsFest and the race. Parking at the Library and Cultural Center will also be unavailable due to the weekly Farmer’s Market.

ADA Accessible parking is available on Avent Ferry Rd just behind the Town Hall parking lot.

We strongly encourage everyone to take advantage of the park & ride shuttle service from Ting Park. Our shuttle will be running continuously between Ting Park and SpringsFest from 10am to 5pm, ensuring you are able attend SpringsFest and get back to your car at any time while the event is going on. Buddy Week is HERE! From April 15th through 20th, we encourage our students to invite their friends, classmates, and family to train with them. If you don't know anyone training here one of the staff will be your Buddy for the week. Get on the mat and enjoy a class full of fun and hopefully get a great workout in. Taekwondo is more that just a work out, it's a lifestyle, and the door is always open to welcome fresh faces into our Tiger Rock family.

Buddy attendance is FREE, however, we do require that they complete the waiver before stepping onto the mat. Regardless their age, they can join your class. If they want to extend their trial past buddy week, we encourage them to partake in classes for their age group/rank. If you or your buddies have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us!

April is here and it's no joke!

This week (4/1-4/6) is "Red, White, & Black" Week! For students who may be unfamiliar, this is testing preparation week. We ask that all students wear their full uniform: Pants, Belt (to continue earning stripes!) and Jacket (red, white or black, depending on what you have).

Don't forget -- we offer Private Lessons! This could be a great opportunity for your student to catch up before testing, earn their stripes or even just to perfect their skills. Register with your favorite Certified Instructor through the Tiger Rock app and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

IMPORTANT: We have made a small adjustment to the testing schedule. If you received our email last week, you should already have an updated copy, but just in case the email was lost in the madness, there is a copy at the end of this post. 😊

We created a shared Google Album! We would love see any photos and videos of your accomplishments so we can celebrate and support you. While we would love a compilation of all your taekwondo achievements and memories, we also want to see what you accomplish outside of the dojang (aka "taekwondo school").

We don't want to just be able to cheer you on in real-time. At our annual End-of-the-Year banquet in December, we want to be able to share your achievements with the rest of the Tiger Rock family! 😊

If you or your child is eligible for testing, please register to test BY APRIL 1ST. You can register through your TR app.

Don't forget to ask your instructors for your stripes so you can test! We will start to focus on your curriculum and your progress to see if you can get your stripes.
