Hello my friends. I guess I'm only a little sorry that this is one of the best pans of lasagna I've made. I mean, sorry you aren't able to share it with us, but, well, you know. I'm just pounding it with a fork out of the pan.

Life is good - Tim is back in college, getting his degree in international studies. Kathy is very happy working for ThedaCare. But, we miss you all! Hope you're doing well, and life is full of adventure for all of you. Please drop us a line when you can. We'd love to hear from you

I ran in the Warrior Princess Mud Run last year for the first time. So many of you supported this important cause, and it was greatly appreciated! Hello to all those still checking in on us once in a while. I just wanted to let you all know that our Guts Frisbee team, which has been such a big part of our lives for so long, won the gold medal at the World Championships in London. We're so proud of the team, not only in how they played, but how they represented the USA throughout the tournament. Thank you all, for your support, help in the fundraisers, and kind words of encouragement throughout the years!

Hey friends! If you've been craving some of Chef Tim's deliciousness, come to the New London Senior High School today, for a bowl of Chef Tim's chili or chicken rice soup. There's a pretty sweet art show going on there, too!

Every day, for 10 years, we made mac 'n cheese. But I haven't made it since the end of August and it was time. So tonight, at the first meal of the Trauger family Christmas weekend, CSI's mac 'n cheese will be served!
And yes, the recipe came right back to me. Funny how that works. :-)

Oh, and Tim's busy making pies this morning - life moves on....
And it's good!

We miss you all, and hope you're 2016 is off to a great start!

Hi friends! Just a quick update : surgery went well. We'll be hanging out at the hospital for a night. A couple of PT's, and if Tim ' s not too sassy, we'll be headed home tomorrow. Lots of rehab to do, but things are looking good. ☺ Thanks for all the good thoughts and kind words!

Hello everyone! I can't tell you how much we miss seeing your beautiful smiling faces and hearing your stories! We hope everyone is healthy and happy. Shout out to Jeremy - nice to see you this morning. You never know who'll you'll spot driving down Oneida Street :-)

I'm posting to let you all know that Chef Tim is having his hip replaced next Tuesday. So many of you voiced concerns about his leg issues over the last 5 years, and now he's finally gotten some answers and a solution! He'll be recuping at home for 8-12 weeks, so feel free to jot him a note. Or send him a game of Words with Friends on his FB page (Tim Trauger) That will keep him busy!
I'll be doing my best to nurse him back to health quickly, as I'll be doing the cooking for a while and well, meals just won't be quite the same....

City Cafe is serving Cheesy Broccoli Soup, Udon Noodle Soup. Brats in the crockpot. Red Curry with Pork, and Vegan Yellow Curry. Sounds awesome. Hope to see you there.

This is the last CSI -Appleton menu post, folks. We have chicken pot pie soup, New England clam chowder, French onion, bacon cheeseburger., and cream of turkey with wild rice. Shepherds pie is the crock pot special. And for dessert - pumpkin cheesecake and chocolate chip cheesecake.

It has been our privilege and pleasure to serve you all for the past 10 years, and to make so many new friends along the way. Thank you!

Good morning. Today's featured soup : Philly cheese steak. More chicken pot pie, too. Cherry cheesecake is ready. And the crock pots will be filled with turkey tetrazzini at about 11:15.

Good morning Facebook friends. I'm a little early today, but that's better than lste, right?

Our featured soup today is cream of turkey with wild rice. The crock pot special will be Italian meatballs & noodles. And the coconut cream torte sold out yesterday, but don't worry, I made a butterscotch torte☺

Happy "our last Monday" friends! This week we'll be serving chicken pot pie soup. Our featured soup today is bacon cheeseburger.
The crock pot special is sausage and peppers. For dessert, we have raspberry swirl cheesecake, chocolate cheesecake, and coconut cream torte.

It's the start of Week Last at CSI Appleton for Kathy and tim. Come see us, say goodbye, meet Yee and Thong (if you haven't already, they've been training hard for a month now).

Tim and I have one more week here at CSI. We're going to miss all our friends here in downtown Appleton, but we're happy we've found such a great family to start their own dream in our little corner of the City Center Plaza. Many of you have been asking lots of questions about what will happen to CSI going forward, so here's a brief statement from Yee:

My husband, Thong Vue and I, Yee Lee Vue are very excited to share with you a new culinary experience at CSI. I am passionate about food and I am not only an excellent cook, but I am an outstanding librarian at the Appleton Public Library and I am a mother of 4 beautiful children (Chueyee, Gaojue, Lajlee, and Yengkong). After many years of cooking in our family-owned restaurant (Mai’s Deli) and as a food vendor at the Appleton Downtown Farm Market we have decided to take over CSI. We have learned from my mom the secrets of making amazing dishes using ingredients from around Asia. The balance flavors of hot, sweet, sour, and salty tastes will be used in our soups, curries, and noodles. We will have a new menu which includes Tim and Kathy’s homemade soups, sandwiches, biscuits, cookies, and cheese cake. We will post the new menu on FB soon.

Good morning friends! Today we have many soup choices: New England clam chowder, baked potato, split pea with ham, broccoli & tomato, chicken asiago, and Cuban seafood chowder. We have garlic smashed taters in the crock pot, too.
