Tomorrow, August 19th is Life Point Dental’s donation Day of Dental for our Mercy patients! The Day of Dental will take place from 8:00am-3:00pm on Friday, August 19th at Life Point Dental’s office at 598 Prince Ave, Athens, GA 30601. We are so grateful for and their generosity to donate their time and resources to serve our patients!

Music on the Lawn is a celebration with a "Chastain Park" feel including good food, great friends, and wonderful music on the lawn at Wire Park. Attendees will enjoy a catered dinner, spirits, and an exciting auction, as well as some phenomenal live music! Music on the Lawn is Athens’ only outdoor singer-songwriter concert! Meet our new Volunteer Coordinator, Melinda Fulcher! Melinda is originally from Jackson County, GA and previously worked as a preschool teacher for 10 years at Jackson Trail Christian. Melinda and her family, her husband and three teenagers, live on a cattle farm and have lots of cows! They have been members of Attica Baptist Church for 20 years. Melinda was drawn to Mercy for the mission of our organization. She has been enjoying getting to know all of the amazing student and provider volunteers! We are so excited to have Melinda as part of the Mercy team!

June is Men’s Health Month! This month was created to bring awareness to healthcare for men and encourage men and boys to adopt healthy habits and live a healthy lifestyle. According to the CDC, 13.2% of men over age 18 are in fair or poor health. During this month, we urge men to make an effort to improve their health. In the last 12 months at Mercy, only 37.1 % of completed appointments were for males. Whether it be scheduling an annual exam, getting more sleep, or making healthier food choices, we encourage men to do something to improve their health this month.

We are so grateful to have the opportunity to serve our patients and make a positive impact on their lives. Our patients are the reason why we do what we do each day!
