Drivers for 'gig' services like Uber, Lyft, Postmates, etc. put a lot of miles on their vehicles, and disproportionately come from historically marginalized communities. Helping them go electric can be a big win for the environment and equity - if done well, in a way that centers the needs of those drivers. If done poorly, however, a push to electrify can cause additional harm. This report builds on years of work Forth has done interviewing and working closely with gig drivers. Read more:

Fleet Events and Education 07/01/2024

The 14th Annual Clean Energy Roadshow event will be here next week! The event, which is hosted by Georgia’s Public Service Commissioner Tim Echols and is recognized as state’s largest showcase for alternative fuel fleet vehicles, will take place at three key locations: Riverside Epicenter in Austell on July 9, Savoy Automotive Museum in Cartersville on July 10, and Gwinnett Technical College North Fulton Campus in Alpharetta on July 11.

The Clean Energy Roadshow is Georgia's original and longest running new technology vehicle showcase and seminar. This premier event brings together a diverse group of stakeholders, including auto and bus manufacturers, utility partners, and fueling and charging infrastructure suppliers, all dedicated to advancing the adoption of clean energy vehicles.

Hydrogen Powered Vehicles Join Electric, Propane and Natural Gas Fleets for 14th Annual Georgia Clean Energy Roadshow 06/26/2024

The 14th annual Georgia Clean Energy Roadshow hosted by PSC Vice Chairman Tim Echols and produced by Event Energy Partners will roll into town promoting the benefits of alternative fuels, starting July 9th with three consecutive tour-stops in Austell, Cartersville, and Alpharetta. The series opens at the Riverside EpiCenter on July 9th followed by stops in Cartersville at the new Savoy Automobile Museum on July 10th, and a final stop at the North Fulton campus of Gwinnett Technical College on the 11th.

EPA has officially opened its second rebate funding opportunity through the multi-year funding program. Under the 2023 Rebate Program, EPA anticipates awarding at least $500 million in rebate funding. 🚌

Eligible applicants can apply to receive funding for the purchase of up to 25 zero-emission (ZE) and/or clean school buses, along with ZE charging infrastructure and eligible workforce development costs. ⚡⛽

EPA is prioritizing applications that will replace buses serving high-need local education agencies, rural areas, Tribal school districts funded by the Bureau of Indian Affairs and public school districts receiving basic support payments for students living on Tribal land.

In addition, EPA is committed to ensuring the CSB Program delivers on the Biden-Harris Administration’s Justice40 Initiative that at least 40% of the benefits of certain federal investments flow to disadvantaged communities.

Applicants must submit all application materials by January 31st, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. ET!
