Knowing that we are stronger together, we will hold a prayer service for the Van Epps family on Tuesday, July 9, from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM in the Student Center (2765 Bethany Bend, Alpharetta, GA 30004). The service will include prayer, worship songs, and fellowship. Everyone is invited to attend as we unite in prayer and love for the Van Epps family.
We are deeply saddened to report the tragic passing of a KRCS family: Ryan Van Epps, his wife Laura, their sons James Ryan ("JR"), a rising 7th grader, and Harrison, a rising 5th grader, as well as Laura's father, Roger Beggs. They succumbed to injuries sustained in a plane crash on their way home from a baseball tournament in New York. This is a shocking and heartbreaking loss for our community. We invite you to join us in prayer for the Van Epps family. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” - Psalm 46:1

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jack McManus on May 28, 2024.
Jack was a loyal and dedicated supporter of King’s Ridge Christian School beginning in 2001 when his wife, Kristina, and daughter, Hillary McManus Frost ’10, became one of the school’s founding families. Jack served King’s Ridge tirelessly through the years, including as Athletic Association President and Board member. He organized the first golf tournament and was passionate about making game days fun for students and families. Jack’s initiatives increased attendance at basketball games and created the tailgating experience for football that we still enjoy today. He knew that building strong community was foundational for furthering our mission.
Jack was also a member of the building committee for the Adler Center and an organizer of the “20 Dads, 20 Dollars and 20 Hammers” group, which built a stage in the old grocery store for assemblies and Mrs. Clinton’s chapels. Asked recently what he was most proud of in his life other than family, Jack replied, “my involvement at King’s Ridge Christian School.”
We are honored to host a memorial service for Jack on Saturday, June 29 at 2:00 PM at the KRCS Kendrick Center, 2765 Bethany Bend, Alpharetta. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to King’s Ridge Christian School or the CJD Foundation.
