Galloway Forward is about transforming the educational experience of all Galloway students as we dream big about the future. We know the adults have great ideas, but what about our littlest community members? We asked our students to reimagine Early Learning, and we know you will be as charmed as we are with their responses.
Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm as we work towards creating a brighter future for our students.
While we value respectful disagreement, we will be moderating comments that do not align with the civil discourse guidelines pinned at the top of this page.

Addison Rosenberg '24 represented Galloway in the State Poetry Out Loud Competition on March 9! After placing in the top tier at the region tournament, she went on to the state level over spring break. Over the course of her competitions, she recited three poems: On Quitting by Edgar Albert Guest, How to Write a Poem by Laura Hershey, and "Hope" is the thing with feathers by Emily Dickinson.
Rukariro Mawokomatanda '24 represented Galloway in 2023 and supported Addison at the competition this year.
Way to go, Addison!
For 55 remarkable years, The Galloway School has remained steadfast in its commitment to Elliott Galloway’s founding vision for superior education. Today, we stand on the threshold of a new era, ready to propel his vision forward as we embark on a journey that will honor the past while securing our future. With four primary aims - Build, Create, Renovate, and Preserve - we are poised for our next milestone.
Exciting changes lie ahead for The Galloway School. Mr. Galloway once challenged our students with these words:
“We want you to find out who you are and become that person. We will always respect your individual differences.”
We know who we are as a school, and we also recognize the need to adapt in order to become better equipped to meet the evolving needs of our students. Beginning this summer, we will build a new Upper Learning facility, create more community space while increasing safety and security, renovate the Early Learning Sims building, and preserve our legacy.
We invite you to take a moment to watch this short introductory video to Build, Create, Renovate, Preserve which serves as a poignant reminder that while our outward appearance may change, the heart of Galloway remains the same.
Stay tuned for more videos and information about the project over the next several weeks.
Congrats to Galloway’s Mock Trial team!

Happy Valentine's Day, Scots! We love you!
Mike Wiley, acclaimed actor and playwright, performed his one-man show “Dar He: The Story of Emmett Till” for our students, shedding light on Emmett Till’s tragic death.
UL students in theater, history, and English class were tasked to dramatize a personal or historical story, a figure from history, or a story they have learned from a family member.
Eighth-grade students in the Writing and Advocacy class will watch the performance and engage in a workshop with Mr. Wiley to frame their future visit to the Civil Rights Museum and their weeklong intensive course on courage.

The Galloway School proudly thanks the brave men and women who have selflessly served our country. We extend our deepest gratitude to all veterans, including our esteemed founder, Elliott Galloway, who honorably served in the Navy during both World War II and the Korean War.
Congratulations to Tianna Thompson ’24! The community cheered her on today as she signed her letter of intent to play basketball at Georgia Tech next fall! She is the first girls basketball player at Galloway to sign with a Power 5 school.
