We are pleased to announce that Allison Chamberlain, PhD, will serve as the inaugural director of our new Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) program.
Our 60-credit hour, entirely online program will prepare early- to mid-career public health professionals for leadership roles, while providing the opportunity to continue working in their current positions. The new program is scheduled to launch fall 2025 with an initial cohort of approximately 30 doctoral students.
As director of the DrPH program, Chamberlain will play a key role in achieving a core goal of Rollins’ five-year strategic plan by elevating practice and partnerships. A practice-based doctoral degree in public health is a critical educational component for our contributions to the public health workforce across the globe, as the public health leaders of today are called upon for their expertise in applying scientific evidence to guide population-level solutions to complex health issues.
