JOB OPPORTUNITY for a Certified Tennis Performance Specialist (CTPS) through the International Tennis Performance Association at the Junior Tennis Champions Center (JTCC) in Maryland.

Here is a short description of the role: Strength and Conditioning Coach Full Time position. The purpose of this position is to aid the Sr. Director of athlete development in implementing JTCC fitness programs. The Strength and conditioning coach will:
• Work with JTCC players aged 10-17 in group and individual sessions.
• Learn the sport of tennis to have a better understanding of energy system demands.
• Will aid in designing workouts that improve athletic fundamentals for junior tennis players.
• Will work with athletes with varying training backgrounds, beginner to advanced.
• Will have the opportunity to conduct fitness tests with our players to track results over the course of the season.

Responsibilities:
• This position is designed as “on-site” and requires employees to be at the center to complete tasks associated with the position
• Employee will be responsible for leading group warm up and cool down
• Assist in designing programs for players with varying levels of athleticism
• Monitor players form and technique during exercise to prevent injury and ensure quality
• Group training as well as working one on one with athletes
• Manage attendance log for players
• Other duties as assigned by the Sr. Director of Athlete Development.
• Available Weekends

Qualifications:
• Available to work a full schedule year-round (school year runs September - May and summer camps run June - August).
• Employee should have a nationally accredited fitness certification or be able to obtain one within 90 days of being hired
• Employee should be CPR/AED and USTA safeplay certified

*CTPS through the iTPA is highly encouraged

New Job Opportunity for an iTPA Certified Tennis Performance Specialist (CTPS)

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

This position is responsible for assisting in the overall development and management of strength and conditioning in the Athlete Development Pathway. The position is principally concerned with the physical condition and wellbeing of those athletes that operate within Tennis New Zealand’s National Programme and leadership of the direction for strength and conditioning in tennis nationally.

The role will leverage relevant sport science and medicine support to render the best possible outcomes for the athletes and coaches. Central to the position will be extensive contact, communication and liaison with key Tennis New Zealand stakeholders, both from an internal and external perspective.

KPIs

Coach athletes to reach athlete development criteria benchmarks as agreed with the on-court coaching staff.
Coach athletes to reach individual physical performance benchmarks as determined by the physical performance coach and the on-court coaching team.
Management of the physical performance plan of assigned athletes and the establishment of developmental plans/priorities incorporating all areas of skill development.
Drive and uphold national standards and expectations, particularly with regard to the strategic direction and national philosophy for strength and conditioning in tennis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and implement evidence-based physical performance programs for selected athletes (specifically members of the TNZ National Programme).
Build relationships with and ultimately influence the network of strength and conditioning service providers working within athlete development in New Zealand.
Develop resources and external stakeholder relationships to facilitate player development.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Tertiary qualifications in Human Movement and/or qualification in Strength & Conditioning (essential).
Demonstrated practical strength and conditioning experience in elite sport, preferably with tennis players (essential).
Current first aid certification (essential).
Current national police check and/or working with children check (essential).
Postgraduate qualification in Strength and Conditioning and/or equivalent. Alternatively, the willingness and ability to acquire this level or equivalent.
Graduate qualifications in massage and/or myotherapy (preferred).
Given the demands of this role, and the nature of working in sport, work outside standard working hours will be required in the evening and weekends.

Job Posting: FM Tennis is located in Boynton Beach, Florida at the FM Tennis Performance Center. With an emphasis on tennis performance, we house multiple performance enhancing modalities under our roof: fitness training, physical therapy, massage therapy, cold plunge, and mental performance.

We’re looking for a certified fitness trainer with specific knowledge and experience working with tennis players. Our facilities give trainers the opportunity to work with players both in the gym and on the court. In addition to our gym, we manage public and private tennis facilities.

We’re looking for a full-time trainer (who is CTPS certified) and estimate an annual compensation of $70,000. Responsibilities would include training players in the gym and on the court, assisting with marketing and promotion.

JOB OPPORTUNITY for TPT/CTPS: Wildwood Racquet Club is seeking a full-time teaching pro to start ASAP and no later than May 2024. Wildwood is the premier tennis facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Focus will be working in the junior development program as well as teaching private and group lessons to juniors and adults of all ages and abilities. We are looking for a USPTA or PTR certified coach with a 4.5+ NTRP rating. Having played collegiate tennis would be a plus. The right candidate should be able to work independently as well as be a solid team player. A Full-time position will be starting with 30+ hours and able to build upwards of 40+ hours.

Skills Required: USPTA/PTR certified and a high level of playing and teaching ability. The desire to put our clients first. Quality and courteous interaction and outstanding communication in person, by phone, email, and text. Experience and knowledge that can create a positive, safe, and fun environment to help grow as well as build the tennis department. On time performance and personal professionalism is expected. The ability to use a computer and learn our POS system for scheduling lessons and drills. Following Wildwood’s Core Values, Mission and on board for the Vision.
Compensation: Benefits package qualification is available. Compensation to be discussed. Possible relocation assistance to be discussed.

Qualifications: USPTA or PTR Certified. Experience coaching high level juniors and trained in 10 & under tennis a plus. Must be available to teach evenings and weekends as needed. 1-3 years’ experience teaching adults and juniors. NTRP 4.5+ or higher. Racquet stringing or the ability to learn (Training provided). TPT or CTPS is not required but is a bonus.
