Thanks to the Benefits Programs of Atlanta Community Food Bank for sending a Benefits Coordinator once a month to be on site here at Toco Hills Community Alliance. If you have questions about SNAP, WIC, or Medicaid, the ACFB Benefits Coordinator will be here on the 4th Tuesday of the month from 1pm until 3pm.

This fiscal year, we've proudly distributed 60,024 CSFP boxes to seniors facing food insecurity in Atlanta. Our CSFP program provides nourishing food to our elderly community each month. That's 1,750,700 meals ensuring they get the nutrients they need. With every box, we’re building stronger, healthier communities!

The improvements already passed in the House would strengthen a proven tool to help millions more children thrive. The Senate votes TOMORROW on the bipartisan tax legislation with expansion.

Our Partner Recognition Award from Atlanta Community Food Bank isn't hanging on an office wall - it's front and center on our front desk. ACFB continues to make fighting food insecurity in our community possible by providing high-volume, high-quality food to nonprofits in the region, allowing CAC to distribute millions of meals a year. We're extremely proud to be recognized as an ACFB Partner!

Each month, Magnolia and Von visit our Community Food Center - Stone Mountain, to receive food assistance that helps maintain their budget. "Social security is our only income, and inflation has impacted us horribly. We rely heavily on this pantry," Magnolia shares.

Von adds, "This pantry helps us not worry about where our next meal is coming from. We get decent food, so this pantry helps us tremendously. We're grateful we have a place like this to help us make ends meet." They plan to volunteer at the pantry to give back and encourage others facing hunger to seek assistance.

Linda visits the Community Food Center - Marietta twice monthly to make ends meet. Despite having a job and receiving social security, Linda is still affected by the increasing cost of goods.

"There are still elderly people who have to work to make ends meet, and my rent keeps increasing. Every time I go to the grocery store, the things I get are more expensive. Times have changed so much," said Linda.

She appreciates the fresh produce that's available and always looks forward to creating meals that will last.

"I feel blessed. You can make a meal out of everything you get," she says.

The assistance she receives with groceries allows Linda to save some money, which she then uses to pay her monthly bills, including rent.
