๐ŸŒŸ A Grand Slam Evening with the Atlanta Braves! ๐ŸŒŸ

GMA's own Larry Hanson served as an Honorary Captain for the Atlanta Braves during a recent game against the Phillies! โšพ It was an incredible experience, especially as we gathered in the Georgia Power suite for an evening of networking and raising awareness about Georgia City Solutions (GCS) with both new and old friends.

Special thanks to GCS Board members and city officials: Mayor Bianca Motley Broom, City of College Park, GA, Macon+Bibb County Mayor Lester Miller, Kirby Thompson, City of Suwanee, Georgia - City Hall Councilmember Linnea Miller, and Reginal Roby (Georgia Power) for joining us. We also welcomed partners from FOUNDATION INC, Street Energy, Foundation, Hope Beckham Espinosa, and the Community Foundation of NE Georgia.

A huge thank you to Georgia Power for hosting us and to the Atlanta Braves for this memorable opportunity to celebrate community, partnership, and a shared vision for the future. It was truly a grand slam event! ๐Ÿ†

Today marks the beginning of the inaugural Mayors Leadership Academy in Athens presented by the Georgia Municipal Association and our partners UGA Carl Vinson Institute of Government, where participating mayors throughout the state are coming together to build on their leadership skills, share best practices, and engage in transformative discussions.

Over the next few days, mayors attending will engage in interactive sessions with renowned national speakers and seasoned mayors, sharing insights into cultivating relationships, responding effectively during crises, advancing community engagement, and much more.

We're excited to see the impact this academy will have on our communities as these leaders return back to their cities with new insights and strategies to drive positive change.

Shoutout to our amazing GMA team members Freddie, Renee, Chiamaka, Tamika and guest Niki! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿก Despite the scorching hot temps, they rolled up their sleeves earlier this month to contribute to a Habitat for Humanity build in Atlanta.

Working alongside 50 professionals and novice builders, the team dove into day two of the home build, tackling tasks like painting, framing, installing foam boards, building the front and side porches, and raising all the walls of the structure.
