Forty-eight student-athletes have earned recognition for their academic success as members of the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Academic All-Conference team!
The recognition is awarded to student-athletes who achieve a 3.2 or higher cumulative grade point average while competing on the varsity level of their respective sport.

Asad Khan's story at was only beginning when he graduated in 2017 with a degree in information technology. He returned to the college as a part-time faculty member in 2022 and currently teaches information technology while serving as the chair of the Georgia Gwinnett College Alumni Association's members committee.

's Director for Enrollment Communication Services Johnny Richardson was selected for the American Association of State Colleges and Universities' (AASCU's) 2024 Emerging Leaders Program (ELP)!
Richardson was one of only 35 higher education leaders nationwide selected for the program, which is designed to prepare participants for high-level leadership roles and empower them to lead their institutions in increasing retention, belonging and student success.

's Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Completion Center has helped over 300 students so far!
Since opening in late April, current and incoming GGC students as well as students from other schools and the community at large have stopped by the center to seek help, ask questions and receive a personalized experience navigating the application process.

: Cinema and Media Arts Production (CMAP) student Hannah Gil won the 2024 Gwinnett County Public Library Student Film Festival! Gil was awarded first place in animation for her film "Dreamscape."
GGC alum David Parra was also recognized for his film "Otto," which won best cinematography in higher education.

“Working alongside Dr. Mia Malloy and the GGC bird lab, I presented and published my independent undergraduate research project at the National Conference of Undergraduate Research in 2019 which paved the way [for me to] attend graduate school.”
Matt Tatz graduated from in 2020 with a degree in environmental science and has continued to pursue his interest in research and ecology as an Integrative Conservation in Ecology Ph.D. student in the Center for Integrative Conservation Research.
