Someone called me earlier today saying they wanted to surrender "a dog." When I inquired more, it turned out this "dog" is a puppy. He is also a large breed. He was gifted to a special needs young man who is unable to care for a dog. Period. Let alone a big dog like this one...

So, this pup is cooped up in an apartment, not neutered, and escaped and "scratched" someone who called AC... Now the dog has a documented bite history, and this young man's father is being told if he is taken to a shelter, he will be put down.

I'm crying.

I can't help this pup.

It's not his fault.

Why are people so irresponsible and insensible to just give away dogs like that. WHY?

I have to come to terms with the world we live in and focus on doing the best I can for all those other dogs I help. It hurts. 💔

Just minutes before this little monkey met his new family, I was reassuring him and telling him how loved he already was. He seemed nervous and a bit unsure, but I promised him he will have the best family and feel safe as soon as he met them. And, look at him in his new dad's arms... 🥰 It couldn't have been better!

What a good day today. Life is good!

This week.we sent 13 crates and 6 soft kennels back to Mexico for our future pup flyers!

We appreciate immensely the donations we received for this purpose.

We are sending back another stack in September, and we are looking for 10 sponsors who can help us with $25 each to be able to get them all the way to Guadalajara with one of our angel flyers.

Makes me sad for the dogs, but some people don't truly understand the meaning of integrity.

Amber is Seattle bound!! She will fly very soon to her new family and, boy, will she be loved and spoiled big time with her pug sibling Leia, who also came to the with us.

After a 2 month wait, we finally had our specialist vet appointment today. I would have wanted to hear better news about Magoo's eye, but I'm grateful that her condition is manageable for now. One day at a time. That's all we have!

This beautiful girl is looking for a family of her own. She is ~3 years old and is small at ~25lbs.

Chino is ready, and he will be flying home very soon!

We rescued Arlen back in February, along with 3 other black dogs.

None of them have had a single adoption inquiry to this day.

You can slide to see our weekly costs to keep them safe, fed, clean, and healthy. Besides their initial veterinary bills, these are some of the expenses we have to cover to save these perfectly adoptable dogs.

It has already been 6 months for them, and it will be 14 months for Jacinta, a 1.5 year old husky mix who is also waiting for a home.

All of them are the perfect fit for someone out there... we just need to find them!

In the meantime, if you can donate, share and raise awareness about the dog world crisis, please do!

Besides Arlen, Jacinta, and their 3 friends Lucy, Nadia, and Bean, we have our fosters and those pups with high medical bills, we are also trying to help, like Domingo and a few others.

We are sending back to Mexico 12 crates and soft carriers next week, too, so they are there when we need to fly more pups to their forever homes.

We are working really hard to launch our website in September, and we are organizing a very cool fundraiser for November and December.
