In 2018, Danita was at a crossroads. Her youngest child was heading to college, and she wondered what was next as an empty-nester. One Sunday at her church, Team World Vision staff shared about clean water and the impact it could have, especially on the lives of children around the world.

Danita, who describes herself as “not a runner,” stepped out in faith and signed up to run the Indy Monumental Half Marathon with Team World Vision. She says, “You need to trust God and not be afraid to step into whatever He’s calling you to do.”

No child should go hungry. This is Nashat's story.

03/27/2024

At a time when human suffering and global need are soaring, World Vision is disappointed that the U.S. government’s fiscal year 2024 funding package does not provide the critical resources needed to aid children and families around the world. “We believe all children deserve opportunities to pursue their God-given potential," stated World Vision President and CEO Edgar Sandoval Sr. “Reducing investment in development programs harms children today as well as generations to come. World Vision hopes that Congress works to restore these cuts as it considers FY25 appropriations in the coming months.” Read the full statement: https://bit.ly/49gI3E1

The global water crisis disproportionately affects girls and women. In fact, collectively, they spend an estimated 200 million hours hauling water every day — hours that could be spent getting an education, learning a skill, or earning an income. Thank you, BreeganJane, for speaking up on .

It's not just a bike. 🚲 It's freedom. It's a safe and speedy ride to school. And for Ian in Kenya, it's a symbol that people care about him. "When I was given this bicycle, I felt so, so good," he says.💙

Remember to pray for Syrians refugees.🙏

Since 2011, Syria’s civil war has sent more than half of the country’s population fleeing for safety. Many Syrian children don’t remember a peaceful life before the war. Lord, we lift to You our brothers and sisters in Christ living in this region. Strengthen them with power through the Spirit (Ephesians 3:16). And help them to endure and remain faithful, knowing that nothing can separate them from Your love. Amen

Women and girls in poverty face unique obstacles that keep them from reaching their full potential. In fact, the global water crisis hits girls and women the hardest. They spend an estimated 200 million hours hauling water every day — hours they can’t spend getting an education, learning a skill, or earning an income. But getting access to clean water changes EVERYTHING! 💕

International Women’s Day is March 8 — join us as we rally behind the call to “Invest in women: Accelerate progress.”💕

We believe ending extreme poverty is possible. But it won’t happen if half the people in the world are held back. As a leader in gender equality for decades, we integrate a gender lens into everything we do because we know that when women and girls gain equal access and opportunity:

- 👶 children are better cared for

- 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 families are stronger

- 🎉 communities are more prosperous

When you partner with us, you are truly helping to accelerate progress for women, girls, men, and boys! Join us on March 8, International Women’s Day, to rally behind the call to “Invest in women: Accelerate progress”. 🧡

From barren fields to bountiful harvests, Hanaa's journey embodies resilience. As a single mother, she turned adversity into opportunity through participation in a farming training program. Investing in a water pump and learning proper agricultural techniques, she revived her farm and her life. Now, she's thriving, selling crops, and encouraging other women in her community to do the same. Hanaa's story reminds us that with determination, resources, and a support system, we can overcome any challenge! 🌾💪
