This is a 9-week program, powered by , , and , consisting of a series of workshops and 1:1 coaching guidance to scale and finance Black businesses. Once participants have completed their cohort, they receive a $8k grant award to expand, enhance, and sustain their food service business.

Juneteenth by the Bay! Don’t miss the outdoor movie and food fest! Watch Black-led movie: Creed III (PG-13) at Black-owned Pleasant Yacht Club. Gates open at 6:30 and the movie starts at 9 (dusk). Until then, enjoy music, food trucks and vendors. BYO lawn chairs and blankets, outside alcohol is permitted.

Proceeds support programming from GBLA and the Greater Baltimore Urban League. $12 donation, kids under 12 free. $20 at the door.

DYK that Black women in the U.S. are nearly 3x more likely to die from a pregnancy-related cause than White women?

April is Black Maternal Health Month, and GBLA, , and are raising awareness and collecting items to donate to pregnant and postpartum women and their babies.

Come to our April 6 event to drop off new, unused items in person. For virtual item donations, use the link in our bio to purchase items directly from the digital registry or scan the QR code above for a list of items we are seeking along with drop-off instructions.

All donations should be received by April 17.

Thank you in advance for your contribution to Black women in Baltimore. Together, we can help stop the maternal morbidity and mortality crisis that is claiming far too many lives.

Howard Henderson. The organization was created to support the objectives of the Greater Baltimore Urban League, as it endeavors to improve the quality of life for African-Americans and other minorities in Baltimore City and its surrounding counties. GBLA serves as a vehicle for young African-American and other minority leaders, aged 21 to 40 years old, who are committed to making a difference in the community.
