Created for artists by artists, this week-long festival:
โ
Highlights the talent & charm of Baltimore City through the power of murals
โ
Provides opportunities for emerging muralists to become a part of the local mural industry in Baltimore
โ
Represents Baltimore Cityโs vibrant community through intentional community-centered public art
This year, 20 Baltimore-based artists painted 10 new murals across Bromo Arts District, Station North Arts District, and Highlandtown Arts District. Through these murals, you can see how these local artists not only possess the skills to express themselves artistically but also a deep understanding of and connection to this city.

Whether made during film production or as an adjacent practice, the artists in this exhibition expand their work through collage, sculpture, protocinema, projection mapping, augmented reality, and generative processing.

The figure depicted is Vander Pearson, the owner of Pearsonโs Florist, which has been located at the corner of Charles St and North Ave for the past four decades.
"I wanted to acknowledge the majestic neighborhood night herons I found staying beneath the Howard Street Bridge. Their existence fighting for space in this neighborhood amongst every competing faction of development & identity was the inspiration for this piece of art. We are nature." -
"The Nest We've Woven" is a project of the Station North Arts District, a program of , produced in collaboration with the artist, Mike Shecter, and the Charles North community. This project was made possible by a Community Art Grant from Baltimore Office of Promotion & the Arts .

Come to the opening reception for artist Doug Johnson's exhibit "Reeling in the Years", chronicling 30 years living and working in Baltimore in watercolors. Johnson has selected pieces from a wide range of styles, intentions, and storytelling over 3 decades of painting. From the gentle and sublime to the lurid and confrontational, many of these paintings have never been shown publicly before. Watercolors, normally displayed behind glass, are instead shown bare, so the powerful light and colors are raw and uninterrupted by a reflective barrier. A personal love-letter to Baltimore, there will never be an exhibit like this one again, opening reception from 5pm-9pm on Friday, July 12 at Club Car Baltimore.
