💙 As we gear up to celebrate , on September 25, we’re celebrating little Claudia and her mother, Purity Kyalo, who found strength and support through Jhpiego's group antenatal care program in Kenya. After experiencing the heartbreak of a stillbirth, Purity was filled with anxiety about her next pregnancy. With the support and guidance she received, Purity welcomed Claudia into the world with a healthy start.

Claudia’s story is one of love, care, and the difference that compassionate healthcare can make. Today, we celebrate Claudia and all the daughters who are thriving thanks to the dedication of their families and the care they receive.

💬 We’d love to hear your Daughters Day stories too! Share and tag us as we count down to the big day.

Exciting news in the fight against malaria in Côte d'Ivoire!
We're thrilled to announce that Côte d'Ivoire has launched the malaria vaccine for children aged 6 to 23 months. This incredible milestone, supported by Jhpiego, Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, USAID - US Agency for International Development and many others, marks a huge step towards a malaria-free future. 💉

Anissa Sidibe, Senior Technical Advisor for Vaccination at Jhpiego, shares:
“The launch of the malaria vaccine in Côte d'Ivoire is a major advancement for public health, particularly for children. The introduction of the R21/Matrix-M vaccine, in addition to other interventions such as insecticide-treated bed nets, is expected to significantly reduce hospitalizations and deaths due to malaria.

Jhpiego has played a crucial role in supporting the national introduction of this vaccine, in collaboration with other partners. Our contributions included planning, social mobilization, and training to ensure the smooth implementation of the vaccination program. Moving forward, Jhpiego will continue to work closely with the government to monitor vaccine coverage and adoption, ensuring that the program reaches as many children as possible.”

This achievement is a testament to the power of global collaboration and our shared commitment to protecting the most vulnerable. Together, we are making significant strides towards a healthier future for all children.

Join us in celebrating this monumental step and stay hopeful for a malaria-free world!

By adopting inclusive, non-stigmatizing language and implementing integrated care models, we can enhance treatment adherence and improve the quality of life for individuals living with HIV. Community support systems further reinforce these efforts, ensuring that care is accessible and effective.
