LSU Libraries is here to help faculty and students with all stages of the research cycle:
1. Planning: In the early stages of the research process, LSU Libraries can help researchers with systematic reviews to see what information exists about a given research topic.
2. Ex*****on: Once the researchers have collected their data, the Libraries can assist them with storing, sharing, reproducing, and visualizing that data.
3. Publication: When they are ready to publish their findings, the Libraries can assist them in pursuing open-access publications that will make their research freely accessible and increase their visibility in the academic community.
4. Dissemination: Once their research has been published, the Libraries can help track and manage their scholarly publication and research metrics, which are important in establishing prestige for both the researcher and the university.
The LSU Libraries’ e-textbooks initiative provides access to e-textbooks at no cost to students. In 2022, it saved students more than $4 million. Since it started, it has saved more than $11 million.

All good research and scholarship performed at a university begins and ends with its libraries. We play a crucial role in supporting researchers via scholarly resources, research assistance, workshops and training, collaborative spaces, interlibrary loan, and data management planning. Here's why Boyd Professor Sue Marchand loves our Libraries:
“Without LSU's libraries, I could never have written books and essays that put me in conversation with scholars at Cambridge, Stanford, Princeton, and the German universities, nor could I offer LSU students a taste of the wonders and terrors of human experience in the last six centuries (and more!). I am deeply grateful to all of those who have recognized the enormous importance of a good library for the state's flagship university."
LSU Libraries is closed for Good Friday. Have a happy holiday, Tigers!
