For four of our Seniors it was their last Kid's Kafe. We all wish them some great culinary adventures in their own kitchens in the future.
We have a few spots open for Spring Break Media camp in the Hope Steam Lab in the gym. Games will be played, 3D prints will be made, movies will be watched, and great times will be shared. Contact Mr. Rod if you have questions or plan to attend at [email protected]
Please makes checks out to St Lillian, thanks.
Students and staff celebrated Read Across America 2024 last week. On Friday everyone was able to dress as their favorite book character. There were some wonderful book characters to promote reading!
The PACE 2 class from the Hope campus enjoyed a field trip to Young Chefs' Academy on January 18th. The class began with reviewing safety rules and the names of ingredients, utensils and equipment. After a demonstration from the instructors, each student kneaded their pizza dough and added sauce and toppings. While the pizzas baked, they rolled cookie dough and decorated their cookie. It was a great opportunity for the students to soak up knowledge from the culinary arts while having fun! Several of the students were joined by their parents who also participated in the cooking experience.
St. Lillian Academy, Broadmoor Campus and Hope Campus, will be closed Tuesday, Jan 16 due to the anticipated inclement weather.
SLA follows EBR regarding school closures due to weather conditions. We will be monitoring closures for Wednesday.
Be safe and stay warm!

The 2023 Halloween Dance was a huge success! Students were joined by old and new friends. It was a fun evening of dancing and treats. There were even some tricks with some great knock knock jokes!
Many thanks to parent, Kirk Boutte, for continuing to support our students each year for the Blue Bucket for Autism campaign. Each year our students are donated blue pumpkins to promote awareness for trick-or-treaters with autism. Students were given pumpkins filled with treats!
Red Ribbon Week 2023 is in full swing! Students have received education around this year's theme, Be Kind to Your Mind. Live Drug Free. Classes have decorated their doors, worn crazy socks, represented their favorite sports teams, and worn their PJ's. Education was woven into each theme day.

Last week at camp Noah got on the phone and called up Louisiana State Police Troop A, as well as St. George Fire Station 63 to see if they would like to come out and say hello to the campers and share some safety information. Great job doing this all on your own, Noah. We're all proud of you. Many thanks to Louisiana State Police and St. George Fire Department
