Greetings all! What an incredible time we had at the Wpfw luncheon with Denise and Jeff Webb. They are truly a “power couple” in the Lord! As Jeff shared in humility and transparency the story of his miraculous healing and recovery following an automobile accident, we were all amazed, inspired and encouraged! Denise added so much from her vantage point and of course they both gave God all the glory. What a blessing it was to all the ladies (and a few gentlemen) who attended. Many thanks to Jeff and Denise Webb, our awesome worship team Charlotte and Andy Williams, Cindy Edmonds, who introduced us to this couple, the Wpfw committee and all who attended!

We had a wonderful time at our April WPFW Prayer Luncheon with Pastor Adraine White of Abounding Love Ministries and women from all over Baton Rouge. Together, we enjoyed sweet fellowship, anointed worship by Charlotte and Andy Williams, great food (Cheers for Mike Anderson’s!) fervent prayer and an inspiring, challenging message, “Better Together,” from Pastor Adraine. Her message challenged each of us to be intentional and step out of our comfort zones to fulfill God’s “dream” that “we all may be one!” Her loving, transparent message included practical tips, lots of scripture and her own life experiences that shed light on the truth that we are indeed, “Better Together!” Many thanks to Pastor Adraine, Charlotte and Andy Williams, to all who attended, those who prayed, and to the WPFW Committee. To God be the glory!

Wow!
I hope this pricks your heart, like it did mine..

It’s definitely a Sunday morning/EVERYday kind of conviction ❤️

Please take a minute- (from a devo plan on Youversion)
Jesus took three disciples with Him to the Garden of Gethsemane. Peter, James and John had been with Him on the Mount of Transfiguration, and Jesus needed them to stand with Him in prayer.

But while Jesus prayed ... they slept. While Jesus sweat great drops of blood ... they snored. While Jesus cried in agony ... the three men He trusted were slumbering.

Knowing that He was about to die the violent death of a criminal, they dozed and drooled.

Three times Jesus came to the disciples ... and three times they were sleeping.

We become outraged at the seemingly careless actions of Peter, James and John and yet how often have we been caught giving into the twilight of lackadaisical behavior when Jesus calls our name?

We watch television when there are prayers to be prayed.

We read novels when there are people to be loved.

We snore while our culture crumbles.

Just as the Savior needed Peter, James and John ... your Savior needs you. He has entrusted you with the power of prayer. He has entrusted you with the Great Commission. He has entrusted you with the Gospel.

In this Garden, Jesus prayed, “ Not as I will ... but as You will.”

Have you ever tried praying that prayer when your life was crumbling? Have you ever prayed, “Father, Your will be done”, when faced with cruel circumstances?

If we learn nothing else from this event in the life of Jesus, we should learn to pray while others sleep and to desire the will of the Father above all else.

When Jesus finally roused the three from their slumber, they had a view in the moonlight of a mob coming up the western slope of Mt. Olive. After the mob, led by Judas, seized Jesus, Peter stayed in the courtyard of the high priest. It was there that Peter denied Jesus three times.

I wonder if Peter would have denied Jesus if he had prayed rather than slept. I wonder how different my life would be if I would pray ... rather than sleep.

What a great morning we had with 56 beautiful ladies (and two gentlmen!) at Mike Anderson’s for our bi- monthly Prayer Luncheon with worship team Charlotte and Andy Williams, and guest Speaker Belle Chatelain! We enjoyed awesome worship and Belle inspired us all with her personal testimony of God’s presence and power in her life through various challenges. Her joy, peace and overcoming faith encouraged everyone and many received personal prayer at each table. (Thanks to Sue Morrill for being our photographer!) Join us for intercessory prayer in March and our next luncheon in April! If you would like to be on our email list to be notified of these events email us at [email protected].

We had a wonderful, anointed time at our June Prayer luncheon with guest speaker Marla Stroup and worship leader Charlotte Williams! About 60 fired up, Jesus lovin’ women were inspired and challenged to live in and choose JOY! Many hearts and lives were impacted not only through the encouraging message and spirit filled worship, but as we all prayed for one another in small groups. Many thanks to Marla Stroup, Charlotte Williams, wpfw committee, all who attended, those who prayed for us, and Mike Anderson’s. To God be the glory! Sally Koch

Today.
There’s NOTHING good about this day.
No upbeat songs, valiant heroes or inspiring message.
It looked like defeat. Deep sorrow prevailed.
Disappointment.
Nothing GOOD.

Except...
A man - born to a humble maid...
Walked among brothers, sisters and friends.
Favored in what they thought they needed.
He taught them of
bread and water and wine -
that would never fail.
Satisfaction and health in his embrace.
And available
to any unshackled.
Free from bo***ge...
and chains of sin.

Always a price for freedom.
A ransom.
An overwhelming rescue.
Revealed to those who would not listen.
The only One who qualified.
The only God who ver walked among us...
Forever willing to suffer...
Our pain.
Our burden.
And, our rejection.

And yet.
He never turned away.
He remained...
till the deed was done.

For us.
That was GOOD.
