Piper and Tatonka with their best girl at the vet
Piper loves her Kong bone.
Piper’s Pennhip Scores came back. Nice and tight!! Swimming has definite benefits!
Tonka and Piper now both have their echocardiograms complete and both are normal. Piper needs to redo Pennhip since it looked “too good” and Tonka needs to be scheduled. CAER eye tests have also been completed on both of the girls. Health is THE most important aspect of the dog!!
Hadron got to put his nose to work during a two day Component Training Camp with Ed Presnall and Debbie Maheu, two of the leading trainers in the sport of tracking.
Hadron got to track in grassy areas, but also had the opportunity to track over other surfaces, like pavement.
We are constantly training as we prepare to hit the obedience ring and hopefully earn a tracking title next year.
We are also beginning our search to plan our breedings and finishing off health testing.
Lots on our plates here.
Lafitte keeps cool and helps himself to the pool.
We run our dogs, not our mouths!
Pirates Den Jean Lafitte Don'T Fail Me Now CAA DCAT CGCA and Altiere's Subatomic Dog RI CGCA TKN FITB at the OneWorld Canine Obstacle Run (formerly the U.S. Canine Biathlon). The event is over four miles, with 30+ obstacles over challenging terrain, including natural and manmade obstacles, dense woodlands, dirt, sand, and water.
All the booboos!
Day 2 of the Matt Twitty obedience seminar. We have Hadron, Piper, and Tonka with us to work on the foundations, like heeling and attention.
Day 2 will focus on open and utility exercises.
We stayed warm!
Pirate’s Den Jean Lafitte Don’t Fail Me Now earned his CAA yesterday! At almost 5, he’s still pretty doggone fast. 26.9 mph and 27.18 mph and he hasn’t run since December of last year at the Fast CAT Invitational in Orlando.
My show prospect from Epic Cane Corso. Call name Tatonka or ”Tonka” for short.
