New, new, NEW! We’re taking the start of the new year as an opportunity to make some changes to the layout of our studio. While we focus on creating new work spaces within these four walls, we’re going to share with you art from our past. This will be like a placeholder while our studio is a ‘work in progress’. We think it might take us a month or two to purge and reorganize - the spring cleaning that’s years overdue. This is perfect timing, as we’re beginning our 25th year of collaborating this March. We’re looking forward to this reorganization, as we’re hopeful the space we open up will allow the future work to sustain us another 25 years!
The piece shown is a work in progress, much like what we’re focusing on at the moment with the studio. Much more work from our past to follow!
#2024

Happy Thanksgiving!
When we immerse ourselves in the process of creating art, we are moved by the profound connection we feel with nature and our shared humanity. We feel it's through this meaningful connection that our art comes alive. We're immensely grateful to have you alongside us on this incredible journey. Thank you for being such an integral part of our work.

It was a quick visit, and a perfect reset. It’s like preparing a blank canvas. There was a lot of time to ponder, study and absorb. We’re back in the studio and ready for the next few months.
We are trimming threads, sorting our fabrics, and preparing ourselves for a fantastic happy-hour First Friday in the Old Mill District. Come join us! We’d love to see you!
When Lisa and I are working together, we rarely look over the other’s shoulder. I know when Lisa is responding to emails, she speaks for me directly as well. This morning I glanced at what looked like a more personal response she was writing (ok, I glanced over her shoulder), and what I read brought me to tears. Thank you Lisa for saying this. And thank you Dawne for sending us an email that made us take a moment…
“Hi Dawne,
We first read your email a couple of days ago and were stunned into silence. Your message has meant a lot to us - so much that it’s hard to express. We have moments now and again when we question and doubt ourselves and our work - we ask ourselves, 'Is what we’re doing important and meaningful, and most importantly, helpful to the world?’ (This question of our ‘why’ has driven us from the very beginning). Just as we were caught in that self-doubt, your email arrived.”

Bend Witches Paddle is always a highlight! Happy Halloween! 🧡🖤🧡🖤

The Cascades are working with us today, as there is snow falling on the mountains! It might even arrive here in Bend tonight! And here we are working on a winter piece to bring in the season.

While the gorgeous colors are filling the spaces, and wherever we turn we’re hearing the crunch crunch of footsteps, we see something very important here. These two first pictures were taken within a foot of the other. Same view, different perspective. Which time again, is our (one of many) life lessons. This one is simple…look at something with multiple perspectives; we find big differences.
(Last pic is me having a pure - I just can’t help myself- moment of joy. Even if it’s momentary, this glee boosted me from the weight I had been carrying for the last three weeks).
An artist’s bliss: delivering art that requires crossing the mountain pass during peak fall color.
Our bike jerseys have been worn on some great journeys, to places as far-flung as Croatia and Portugal. But this is the furthest, as this is our eldest sister with her husband taking a moment for a pic while biking around Mt Fuji, Japan. And by “around” we mean AROUND. Kathy and Clancy Wolf, you’re amazing and an inspiration!
We’ve been excited to see our jerseys throughout OR, in British Columbia, California, the East Coast, and the Midwest. Knowing our images are on the backs of these cyclists is pretty thrilling, as they meld three things we love: Cycling (Lisa’s passion), art (our passion), and travel adventures (always!).
