Pura Vida! Just got back Friday from an incredibly inspiring work trip to Costa Rica (lucky me!)

Learned so much and focused on being present there. Pura vida, a characteristic Costa Rican phrase, literally means pure life, with connotations that suggest translations such as "full of life", "this is living!", "going great", or "real living".

I’ve been easing back into things this weekend thanks to Mother Nature and all the snow. I love the idea of staying pure and present this year.

“Pura Vida” (12” x 12”) is my first piece of art for 2024. Made from an upcycled canvas, recycled magazines and acrylic paint. Swipe left for a detail shot. 💚

First time painting since my dad passed. Wasn’t sure what to create and then “Charlie” appeared. She is made with love and acrylic paint with metallic accents. 17” wide x 19.5” and upcycled. 💛

The cheetah symbolizes power, speed, and grace. They are often seen as a symbol of divine guidance. If you feel uncertain about your life path, the cheetah can signify that you are about to receive much-needed guidance. The cheetah can also help you to connect with your intuition and your inner wisdom.

Last one… for now. I thought earlier, what should I paint next? The answer? Something I love.

I love giraffes. A highlight of our Safari in Africa a few years ago was seeing them in person. Not only are they incredibly tall (I am 5’)…

For this reason, giraffes are powerful symbols of guidance and leadership. Giraffes symbolize seeing trends and even warnings when others are oblivious..

The giraffe spirit animal is also a symbol of grace. If you have a giraffe spirit animal, you are graceful, aware, and easy to talk to.

Mural Monday… It was a lovely weekend and yesterday I finally got to my long awaited office mural while the boys went skiing. It was awesome knowing we were all doing things that made us happy.

I am still doing touch ups and debating whether or not my painting goes back up but pretty pleased with the progress. Now wondering what to call it - any suggestions?

Sneak preview Sunday! Hubby loved the mural I painted for my client last week so much that he asked if we could have one…

With all the smoke this weekend, it was the perfect time to make it happen and Brian Yaeger was an amazing co-muralist!

It was his idea to incorporate the mountain painting I did previously into the design. He also gets bonus points for cleaning his bedside table for the photo. Now I just have to decide if I am adding trees or not - I think I’ll sleep on it or rather under it :-)

Home sweet home Sunday! Been waffling about what to put on our huge wall next to our pool table. I was contemplating a mural but wanted to try something new so made this 8’ birch branch yarn art.

Foster Friday! What a week it has been… The world is a crazy place right now so we decided to do something crazy good (😘 )!

We are fostering these sweet puppies for and feel so grateful to be able to do something helpful but we get all the puppy snuggles so it’s a win win!

Mural Monday! I was so flattered when our Vietnam team loved my rooftop mural at HQ so much they wanted to reproduce. I would have loved to flown there to paint it myself but we settled on a projected file! Excited to see the finished new offices!
